Somebody with brains should step forward and run California. Closing the border should be number one on the list. Water distribution will also need to be altered.

---Trump has big plans for California if he wins a second term.---

---He has promised to use an expansive view of presidential power to undo state laws and policies on many fronts, including areas such as law enforcement and education where states, not the federal government, have traditionally been in charge.---

---He says he’ll close the U.S.-Mexico border on his first day in office---

---His Santa Monica-born immigration advisor, Stephen Miller, says that if Democratic states such as California don’t cooperate, Trump could order National Guard units from red states such as Texas to cross their borders---

Er.... someone like him should run California, then close the borders.... not sure governors have that power.

Something should be done about California it's has gotten so insane, the governor is refusing to give a state of the state address.

Good luck on that one. California is one of the few states with a State Guard that is separate from the National Guard and cannot be federalized. I can see it now The Governor sends the National Guard on some stupid mission. In their absence, the state guard goes onto the Nat Guard base and fires up the good stuff and immediately drives to the border to meet the Texas National Guard. Newsflash, the Ca state guard (sdf) outnumbers the Tex Nat Guard AND the Texas SDF. But in order to do this, the Texas Nat Guard will have to be Federalized and cease to belong to Texas. Not only will they loose the battle, I am quite sure that the Posse Comitatis will end Rumps careeer and even what's left of the MAGAts in congress won't stop his 3rd Impeachment except this time, it will be successful. This is just another way to feed raw meat to his MAGAt animals.

And yes he did say it.

This is what should happen to CA.

Most of the state is normal. Let the godless filth wallow in its own shit... and govern themselves.

Figure out how to put 51 stars on the flag.

That should work for federal responsibilities such as immigration. The concept is similar to what President Obama used against our Sheriff Joe Arpaio's enforcement of immigration issues.

As for state and local responsibilities, I'm not keen on the plan. First of all, I want government to stay in its restrictive lanes. Secondly, presidents implement this by using their federal funding in a carrot-and-stick approach, made possible only because of the government's practice of tossing money around.

I am still old enough to remember when the people on the right used to pretend to care about states rights.

Those were the good old days.

california is fast becoming bankrupt with debt

soon california will simply collapse and fall back into republican hands

this time it wont be the democrat/rino arnold the dumb terminator

Cali's debt to GDP ratio is about 20%, while the US debt to GDP ratio is 124%.

Seems you concerns are a bit misplaced.

That's what they said in the 1980s also, but.

I would do a bunch of digging on the border until it just fell into the ocean.

So you're saying a whole bunch of stuff is going to be overturned by the courts. Cool I guess.

The nation's borders are the purview of the Federal Government.

Don't cooperate with the border? The state isn't involved with the border.
Sending national guard units from other states, unless federalized, is not legal.

Trump has promised to scrap President Biden’s programs to promote renewable energy, including subsidies for electric vehicles and charging stations. His advisors have proposed limiting California’s power to set fuel emission standards for automobiles.
Tenth Amendment says hello.

He says he’ll stop the state from allowing Sacramento River water to flow into the Pacific to protect the Sacramento Delta. “We’re not going to let them get away with that any longer,” he said. (Water experts say it would be impractical and environmentally disastrous to divert the river’s flow completely. Newsom has already suspended some environmental laws to send more water to reservoirs and is preparing to build a new water tunnel under the delta.)
Constitution says hello. Water issues are the purview of Congress (waterways) and the Federal Courts/SCOTUS.

Trump says he’ll send federal law enforcement officers into Oakland and other cities to stop rampant shoplifting. “If you rob a store, you can fully expect to be shot as you are leaving that store — shot!” he said.
Fed can only enforce fed law. I guess the FBI is good again?

And he says he will prosecute California healthcare providers if they comply with a state law that prohibits releasing information about minors’ gender-related medical care to other states. (He called the law a “sick California scheme for violating federal laws against kidnapping [and] sex trafficking.”)
Tenth Amendment says hello. There is no federal power to do that, much less an authority the President can use.
