A review of the Alex Pretti Shooting by Active Self Projection

The problem is that the ICE officers have been so demonized by the Left - Gestapo! Nazis! - that they know they are being hunted and are operating in an environment where Dems have convinced their useful idiots that killing ICE officers would be a good thing. Knowing all that, they had a split-second to respond.
I agree. But everyone is human, and mistakes are made....Would you agree? I am only talking about what was the thought process at the moment of the shots...I'm not judging anything at the moment, right or wrong....Is that fair?
I’ll try to find it again.
I found something I posted...According to that, there are a hodge podge of State laws that involve whether or not a demonstration has been declared lawful or unlawful, but nothing in federal statutes concerning that...

The problem is….one is allowed to conceal carry at a lawful protest.

What has been happening in MN is not lawful. It is illegal to impede law enforcement, assault, threaten, destroy property, etc. - and this is what has been happening. Pretti was placed back on the curb by law enforcement, and instead of remaining there, he instead moved in on them with the intent to impede (and fight) their operation - with a loaded weapon.

Take a look at what is going on - leftists are not only impeding and threatening ICE officers, but they are assaulting innocent people who they judge to be on the side of ICE - everything from assaulting an old lady trying to cross the street to dragging a conservative out of his car,

Anyone who shows up knows this is a violent, illegal assembly - and not merely a protest.

Yes, I just saw it. MN allows CC to LAWFUL protests.

I agree Lisa, however, it has to be declared as an unlawful protest...We know in MN that happened when the agitators went to hotels that they thought ICE agents were staying in...Now, if anyone in that crowd was found to be armed, then they would be arrested in that instance...

I don't agree with what the agitators are doing, nor do I believe that carrying your CCW to these things is a smart thing to do. But, we are talking legal specifics...

Now, if you can show where these demonstrations are declared illegal assemblies, then I'll agree with you...

Well, that’s the problem…..MN won’t declare the “gatherings” unlawful. The leaders are the ones inciting them!

OK….how’s this? The following provides MN state law that declares public demonstrations a crime in the event of a) wearing masks, b) impeding traffic, c) threatening violence, and some others.

True, but the fact remains that unless they do that, then valid CCW holders have the right to carry....As foolhardy as it may be...

But why do they officially have to declare them illegal when they’ve published laws that already show they’re illegal?

Now, if you can show where these demonstrations are declared illegal assemblies, then I'll agree with you...
Let’s use St. Paul as an example when talking about legal protesting. In St. Paul, you do not need a permit to protest. As long as protesters remain on a sidewalk and are careful to follow all traffic and pedestrian signals, they can legally protest. Marchers will also need to allow enough space for normal pedestrian traffic and not unreasonably obstruct or deny passage to any other passers-by. If they fail to do this, it can be considered an unlawful assembly, and if they do not comply or disperse as directed by police, arrests may be made.

Ok...And how does this correlate to Pretti?

Where we he protesting?
According to your post, you are saying that because he entered the roadway, that his protest was illegal? Ok, that's interesting. And will probably weigh on the investigation...

My point would be that this approaches legality vs. stupidity

It is 100% legal to walk alone down East 55th street in Cleveland at 11pm on a Friday night, especially being white, wearing a suit, and having fat pockets and cash hanging out of them, and walking towards a Range Rover. You have every right to do that. You just shouldn't. You would be stupid to do that.

Similarly, it is 100% legal for someone to carry a gun as they charge towards executive branch federal officers (or local ones) and begin to position yourself in their way... You just shouldn't, and you'd be very stupid to do that. You'd be even more stupid to then attempt to agitate and obstruct/prevent them from proceeding while armed. All it does is increase the likelihood of a tragedy.

And I'm quite sure that's what the DNC and left-wing NGO's were banking on when they sent in all these agitators to mess with ICE and federal agents. Raise tensions, have tens, then hundreds, then thousands of encounters... until one happens that is perfect for their optics. It's a mathematical strategy, and look at the emotional appeal it's making onto some of the public (mostly white liberal women)

Agreed...That's what I've been saying...

They are rounding up whoever brown people they can round up.

Persecution, not prosecution.
They are targeting violent criminal illegal scumbags, and you’re too brainwashed to realize it. Your leftists actually blocked an ICE vehicle trying to arrest a child sex assaulter!
