A review of the Alex Pretti Shooting by Active Self Projection

Deadly force law justifies actions likely to cause death or serious injury only when immediately necessary to prevent imminent death, severe harm, or violent felonies. It requires a reasonable belief of danger, must be proportional to the threat, and is often governed by "stand your ground" or "castle doctrine" rules, varying by state.
Here is a breakdown of key aspects regarding deadly force laws:

1. Core Principles of Legality
  • Imminence & Necessity: The danger must be happening now (immediate), not in the past or future, and force must be the only reasonable option.
  • Reasonable Belief: A "reasonable person" in the same situation would have believed deadly force was necessary. It requires both a subjective belief and objective reasonableness.
  • Proportionality: The force used must match the level of threat faced.
  • Purpose: Typically allowed to prevent death, serious bodily injury, kidnapping, or sexual assault.

Elements of Justified Use of Deadly Force in Self-Defense

According to a University of Memphis Law Review article on self-defense, there are three elements of a justified use of deadly force in self-defense argument. First, the most fundamental component required for using deadly force in self-defense is proportionality. A person must be confronted with deadly force before using deadly force.

Second, the requirement is necessity. "To use deadly force to defend against deadly force, the use of force must be necessary to prevent death or great bodily injury." The danger must be imminent or immediate.

The third component of, justified use of deadly force is "reasonable belief. The defender must reasonably believe deadly force is necessary to prevent the use of deadly force on the defender. This component includes both a subjective and objective requirement: The defender must have a "reasonable belief that the force is necessary to defend against deadly force (subjective), and a reasonable person in the defender's circumstances would also believe such force is necessary (objective)."

The reasonable person standard is a benchmark applied to defendants to establish their liability by comparing their actions to how a typical, rational person would have acted in the same situation

If you resist and get into a physical altercation with LE while hiding a gun you are responsible for the outcome of your poor decisions.
Ahh I see. So you don’t even need to brandish the gun? If a cop or whatever these ICE thugs want to kill you, all they need to do is assault you.

They are law enforcement with federal jurisdiction. They are arresting illegals in all 50 states. The only place libtards are getting themselves killed is in Minnesota. Literally all you have to do to avoid being “murdered” by ICE is to not obstruct law enforcement and cooperate with the orders of federal agents.

Just stay home and work on deciphering your gender identity.

All they need is for you to put yourself
in a position get into a fight with them armed with a hidden gun.

Back when you were pro 2nd Amendment (2 weeks ago) it was concelaed carry....now since it’s no longer beneficial for you...you make out like the guy was hiding a weapon.

Once again proving you don’t have principles...you have hobbies

As for your post....are you on drugs? Almost all confrontations between the police and the public are initiated by the police. The police are trained to de-escalate situations...not spray tear gas on subdued individuals and definitely not to shoot them in the back of the head whe ntyey haven’t posed a threat to you. They don’t need to have you “put yourself” into any situation.

The gun wasn't concealed?

Concealed:
adjective - con·cealed kən-ˈsēld

kept out of sight or hidden from view
And perfectly within his rights....correct?

C’mon....you can admit it...can’t you?

Here is where you now completely backtrack...go ahead and get it over with.

So, once they talk the gun away from you, do they still have the “right” to shoot you in the back?

The lengths you Trump losers go to to justify the crimes your thug armies commit is disgusting.

Officers moved Pretti from the street. Pretti escalated by returning to the street.

Pretti then further escalated by becoming the white knight to interfere with ICE actions and into a physical altercation with them.

All with a hidden gun.

Not smart.

They are rounding up whoever brown people they can round up.

Persecution, not prosecution.

Yes perfectly in his rights to carry concealed to carry if he is eligible under MN law.

Not to confront and get in a physical altercation with LE.

That can get you shot

There was about a second before the discovery and shots.

Then they shoot until the threat is neutralized.

A reminder that it is not wise to confront LE and get into physical altercation while armed.
