NATO by definition is DEFENSIVE alliance. It's purpose is that of common defense.

There is NOTHING in the NATO charter about attacking Russia and there has never been any talk of that. The very idea is INSANE playing with nuclear armageddon and not a single country in the alliance has any interest in that.

Russia can protect itself from war very simply- by NOT INVADING OTHER COUNTRIES and triggering Article 5.
