A no BS, non partisan examination of the success of Obama's stimulus package

You live in a fantasy land. The federal spending is severely restricted, we don't spend nearly enough on science/medical research, on affordable education, on infrastructure.

There is no runaway spending. Look at the chart, it practically stopped growing under Obama:

It's the Republican tax cuts that cause deficits.

Is there a reason you are using a chart from 3 years ago to defend your lies?

Newer chart would look the same. You just can't stand the facts.

Somewhere, I posted that chart in real dollars per capita and per worker. Spending has fallen since the end of Bush's term. You are not only right, you are being generous.

The "anti-liberal" logic is that military spending is required and all other spending unnecessary. Ergo, cutting taxes is only suppose to impact other spending which us suppose to have been reduced. Ergo, it is the spending part that is the problem.

The lack of reasoning is clear when we look at discretionary vs non-discretionary spending. OASDI and Medicare is fully funded by taxes, has a surplus and trust fund. The "anti-liberals" have it completely wrong because it is discretionary spending that is open to cutting in balance to tax cuts.

They can't do the accounting or the math. They don't even bother.

Would it?

The fact is that a newer chart wouldn't be using projected spending for 2012 or 2013, it would have actual numbers from those years. So, if you have a real point, feel free to post a newer chart that shows actual numbers, not outdated projections.

Yes, because all those little kids are spending money.
