Yes it did but still there were problems which was cause by this new law they recently passed
SB 202 shortened the time between a general election and a runoff — condensing deadlines for voting by mail and effectively shrinking the early in-person voting period.

The law,
Senate Bill 202, signed by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp in March 2021,
cut in half the time allowed between a general election and a runoff election — drastically shortening the period during which many voters must request, receive and cast ballots. The law's narrowed time frame also effectively cuts the early in-person voting period, from a minimum of 16 days in 2020 to a minimum of 5 in 2022, while existing rules have ensured almost no new voters will be eligible to vote in the runoff.
The law's authors
even wrote into the bill that "the lengthy nine-week runoffs in 2020 were exhausting for candidates, donors, and 120 electors."
Sounds like they did it more for the election workers than for the voters.
"As a result, new voters who weren’t registered for the general election
will not be able to register in time to vote in the runoff because the deadline will have already passed."
I wonder how what effect that had on who won and who lost in the last election. Did it keep Walker in the game or did Walker lose votes because of the new law.
"Domestic, absentee mail-in ballot voters will now have a much shorter window in which to do everything required of them to cast their ballots on time."
Still there were long lines and people did endure it but why should they have to. Long lines would affect large cities like Atlanta which have more democrats rather than in rural area which favor republicans. Lake also claimed that these long lines
Ultimately this law effect the voters as its about time frames and locations where they can drop off votes. Instead of making it easier for the voter, they are making it easier for themselves.
The state's voter rolls have grown by nearly 2 million since the U.S. Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in 2013, but polling locations have been cut by almost 10%.

Even Kari Lake in her court case pointed to long lines as a problem which was caused by problems with the machines being used. Yet this long line was cause by the new bill as people had shorten time frames to vote.
