Pretty scary stuff here. Not only do 62% of young people have a favorable view of Socialism, but 34% have a favorable view of Communism. This is just more proof that our education system has gone off the rails. I contend that is due to enemy influence, but that is another discussion.

When will mature, adult Democrats, if there are any left, realize that they need to reign in the far-left of their party to prevent this type of uninformed, ignorant thinking? Are all Democrats so lost in the wilderness that they are unable to see the danger their current party poses to this Republic? The financial hub of our country is getting ready to elect a professed Democratic Socialist, in large part due to the young (and non-native born) population in that city. He will fail miserably. Maybe that will be a walk-up call, but I’m not so sure that will be enough wake people up.

No, it shows they have bought into misinformation. They are ignorant. I may also point out that non-native born US citizens are a large portion of those supporting Mamdami, many of those with non-Western civilization ideals. This is also in large part due to the Democratic Party that not only supports unfettered immigration, but doesn’t promote assimilation into our culture, but rather promotes diversity of culture. Just another huge failure of the Democratic Party that may ultimately result in our country falling off our pedestal.

It's the governance of capitalism that is at fault. Capitalism is nothing more than an economic model that requires supervision, i.e. proper government to make sure no one gets screwed. At least as much as possible anyway. Sadly, we don't have that; but nobody else does either. There is no place on Earth where greed and avarice do not exist and likewise no place where gov't fraud does not occur. Since capitalism creates more wealth by far than any other economic system, there is of course more greed, avarice, and fraud. We've done a shit job of controlling it, and that's on all of us.

This ignorant "all regulation is bad" routine has caused great damage. Proper regulation is not a detriment to capitalism, it's a required component of capitalism.

There is no better example than the Meltdown of 2008, when Alan Greenspan repeatedly and publicly refused to regulate the very complicated financial derivatives (like CMOs, CDOs and CDSs) that literally brought us within hours of a complete, total global collapse.

I can tell you first hand that in the financial services industry, regulation is an absolute ******* mess, even after Dodd-Frank. There are gaping holes over here, and comical redudancies over there. That's because our "government" is no longer functioning, and all it knows to do is slap temporary band aids on big problems. This is killing us.

It means they can be "Communist" without doing any of the "Communism" bit.

That is not the way things work in democratic countries in Europe with social democratic economies. Socialized medicine work costs less there than health care in the United States. It gets better results.

Yep, the US federal govt spends about the same, to a little more (depends on exchange rates mostly) per capita on healthcare as the UK govt spends on the NHS.

Imagine that you can give EVERYONE healthcare free at the point of delivery for the same cost as the US does medicaid and medicare.

And on top of that most people need to spend money to get their own insurance and get screwed over by rich people at every stage.
