62% of 18-29 Year Olds Have a Favorable View of Socialism

Well they were handed everything (and taught in school that is the way it should be) so it's no surprise to me that they expect handouts in adulthood.

Just look at what Halfrican Care did.....Allowing adults up to 26 to stay on their parent's insurance.

Hard life lessons will have to be learned by those lay-abouts and it's gonna be a steep learning curve.

Oh, noes, that's terrible!

Here's the reality. No one had a problem with that because it wasn't that big of a deal. 22-26-year-olds have very few medical problems. They rarely think about it.

Most of our health care is spent on old people, and the reason why we have Medicare is because private insurance would never cover people over 65 without a government subsidy.

Yet the United States remains the top destination for Immigrants. The reason for that is the United States provides the best Economic Opportunity. The more a country moves towards Socialism, the less economic opportunity.

We were a very different people during WWII. I can't say that it was wrong to put the Japanese into the camps. The public was furious and did not believe in the benefits of diversity.

Why is Trump supporting socialist countries like Israel and Argentina?

Both have universal healthcare.

It is interesting how FDR is worshipped by the left.

What got us out of the depression was war, not THE NEW DEAL and Japanese into internment camps.

SOME MIGHT CALL PUTTING JAPANESE CITIZENS INTO INTERNMENT CAMPS AS NAZI, AND FDR HITLER………RIGHT?

Um, no, the New Deal is why we were in a position to win the war, because it created a vibrant middle class.

And while the internment of Japanese-Americans was unfortunate, at the time, Republicans were as much for it as Democrats.

In fact, the only people who objected at all were the Japanese Americans.

I don't think he's supporting Venezuela. Are you thinking of Argentina?

While Argentina has a UHC system, the reason Trump is propping up their government is that they are swallowing the MAGA rat poison, and the last thing he wants is for it to fail.

Maybe they should have to worry about it as part of growing into adulthood.

I had a illness at 17 that landed me in the hospital for a couple of weeks. My parent's insurance covered it but I learned that the coverage ended at 18.

With that in mind I got my own insurance through my employer at 19. I even bought life insurance payable (at the time) to my parents.

Oh, no. Did it go?

Here's the reality- the teaching of history has a decidedly Western slant. Heck, I have a history degree, and yet until recently, knew very little about the history of China or India.
To a large extent yes. We no longer teach western civilization the way we did. We teach more about non white countries now. I don't know what they teach about American history since high school dolts don't seem to know anything.

That's nice, and I'm glad it worked out for you.

Um, but here's the thing. In your 20s, you think you are going to live forever. Health Insurance is the last thing on your mind.

The reason why the extension was a good idea was that a lot of 20-somethings can't get jobs with health coverage right away.

They learned nothing from the Meltdown. They were lied to about THAT, as WELL.
We are headed for another meltdown.

Oh, noes, that's terrible. You mean we might have kids learn about the Mughal Empire and the Tang Dynasty (which were at one point far more powerful, affluent and culturally diverse than the squabbling Kingdoms of Europe.)

If a flying saucer passed Earth in the 9th century, it would have assumed that China and the Arab World were the heights of civilization, not Europe.

If people want to learn about other countries, good. The job of the educational system is to teach our culture and our civilization. Otherwise, we get what we got.

We probably won't be able to believe the government unemployment reports now, since the department is slave to the WH. ADP's numbers are pretty good but inconsistent.

But in this case, and in the case of inflation, voters won't be looking at unemployment or inflation data. They'll be looking at their own lives. So I guess we'll see how that goes.

Thanks, I got confused on which countries Trump is helping and which one he is going to invade.

Can you give me an example of a perfect capitalist utopia in existence?

Oh, that's right, you can't. They all kind of suck.

What you forget is that Utopia was a joke by Sir Thomas More. "Utopia" means "No Place" in Greek.
Just as soon as you give us a perfect example of a socialist existence.

Compare the two historically, and all of a sudden capitalism does not look so bad.

Don't worry though, if AI gets up and running, we will all be on welfare, and not one single vote will have gotten us there.
