There's a sucker born every minute. I wouldn't pay $30 to see that guy.

In 1977, I had 16th row for Led Zeppelin, and my ticket was $20.
How'd you pay that much. I saw them a couple years earlier close enough to smell their sweat for $6.00.

Man that had to be awesome
I've told this story before here, but yes it was.
Long story short, I was 16 with my 17 year old girlfriend Marge Ginosi, both doing mescaline and got to stay up all night and skip school the next day .

It was the first of 2 shows on the Song Remains the Same tour at the Richfield Coliseum 16th row ... John Bonham sounded so great live - they all did --awesome laser /light show. All in all the best concert I ever experienced.

They were sold out mail-order only if I recall, and my friend Marge's friend couldn't go so I bought her ticket the day of the show that Wednesday at school for $20.

6 grand? I remember when you could buy a new Cadillac Eldorado for less than that! And a pretty damn nice car for $2000.
In the 70's was when Japan started killing us with cheap, fuel-efficient, long lasting Datsun's, Honda's and Toyota's while American made cars were getting a bad rep for building unreliable gas guzzlers.

And they do make good cars. I've had 3 Toyota's, 2 Honda's a Nissan Maxima and an old Datsun b210.....none ever had any serious mechanical problems, all went well over 300k miles.
