53% Of House Dems Vote For Socialism

and 47% voted against it. So, where do we go from here when one side can't win without the other? Does the Democrat party fragment into their corners or does one side eventually win out over the other?

It was a stupid waste of time and does absolutely nothing.

Nobody in Congress is actually against Socialism. Our entire monetary system is Socialism.

It's not an unknown. Socialism has never worked anywhere where it has been done.
It is actually working all over the world right now. What has NOT worked are authoritarian regimes that people like you call socialism. And that's what you are supporting in this country right now.

Certainly not my father’s party

Hate to say I TOLD YOU but this country is headed for a split. We have nothing in common with the Democrat scum! Let's draw some new borders, build a big ass wall to keep Dems and their filth OUT and let them destroy themselves.
Let them pass gun control legislation in their deep blue areas and then we'll have at it and see who wins.

House has been on vacation for five weeks and this is their priority

If you don't know that we've been a socialist capitalist country at least since FDR. I don't know what to tell you.
The fact that you'd make that claim tells us a great deal about you.

Social Democrats are still just Democrats. They say one thing to get your vote then once elected immediately compromise with the corrupt establishment.

The problem is that MAGA types , most Republicans in congress and even some Democrats are too stupid to understand what Socialism is, and that not all Socialism is equal. Socialism in the context of a Democracy that supports a free market economy, and private property is a far different animal that Socialism in the context of a totalitarian regime.

In fact, Socialism- such as a social safety net and health care is essential to the viability of Capitalism. It softens the hard edges of an economy that is prone to cycles of expansion and contraction by protecting workers, keeping them healthy and ready to work when needed and quelling social unrest .

Democratic Socialism has been intertwined with, and an integral part of our economic system sine the early 19th . People should educate your self and do some research on the Progressive Movement

Far more dangerous and oppressive than Democratic Socialism is the current trend towards Corporatism and the rise of the American Oligarchy- where politicians are owned by the billionaires - against the backdrop of eroding Democratic institutions such as freedom of the press, voter suppression, xenophobia and religious bigotry, while maintaining an illusion of Democracy.
