50% to retire poor...

It can be taken over by immigrants that will work for far less than you.
Raising the minimum wage helps solve for that.

I gotta hear this.....
How?
Immigrants won't be working for less than the lawful minimum wage.

Since when does a business owner make minimum wage?
I never said they did. Are you being a fantastical right winger?

Follow along with the bouncing ball...nimrod.

Thanks democrats.
It’s really a bipartisan affair.

That is very true. Though, republicans eventually realized that the policy of globalization did not give the promised results and elected someone with a different platform.

Though many of the long term republicans are still loyal to the old failed ideology.

Yes, they elected a globalist to fix globalization. Shocking that it didn't work.

They elected the candidate that wanted to try vs the candidate that wanted to give up on those jobs.

That he has a record of engaging in the very practice that he has promised to address, is a minus, but it still makes vastly more sense to go with the person who is says he will try, vs the one who says she will NOT.

Now, let's see what you have to contribute to the conversation now. Because I have yet to see a lib that can respond to that.
The president can't bring back manufacturing jobs yet Congress can and as long as these corporations have no ties to the US govt. they can do as they please and a large part of corporations are multi-national corporations that can do as they please.

A corporation has no ties to US, we don't have to let them have access to the latest market in the world.

We have power. We have leverage. Let's us it to protect and advance our interests, especially the interests of the American Workers.

Fuck the corporations that want to build products with slave labor and sell it here at a premium.

Whether they are American, international, Chinese, or fucking German or ect.
Then stop using the device you are posting with.

I would rather support policy that brings as much production back here, as reasonable possible.

you do support that, right? You are a working man, I believe.

Jobs and wages. That won't happen if we keep the Free Trade status qou.
There is no such animal as free trade....What with tariffs and regulations that abound on trade.

Fair enough. I will adjust.

My trade of mason can't be outsourced like when I was an industrial and military electronics tech and electrician. The wealthy have let the illegals take over much of the construction trades yet I am an independent operator that works for average citizens that appreciate English speaking white folks that fix their problems. I am all for bring back industries to the US but they will have to be heavily subsidized or socialized. Why, because that's how they are beating us via outsourcing to nations that have figured out how to beat the USA.

The other side of globalization.

Your pretense that Capitalism is only pure unrestrained Capitalism, and everything else is "socialism"

is you being dishonest.

You are dishonest, because you know that your position is bullshit and that you are trying to trick people into supporting policies that you know are bad for them and the country.
You are being more dishonest. Somalia had true anarcho-Capitalism, for a little while. Any Government command and control of Capitalism is socialism and that form of slippery social slope.

Nope. The slippy slope is a Logical Fallacy as it the False Choice you are offering.

Somalia is a refutation of Anarcho-capitalism. But not normal Capitalism, with a well regulated Free Market.

That you refuse to be honest about your position, shows that you know you are lying.

Yes. Republicans want to grow the economy so that wages rise naturally to higher and higher levels, while dems want command economics that ensure power and wealth for them, and eternal poverty and dependence for everyone else.
Since when? Right wingers only grow the deficit not the economy or why else have wages not kept up with inflation under the Republicans? The last time wages outpaced inflation was when Clinton was President.

Since the Free Trade Ideologues lost the debate because their policy did not deliver as promised.

And I want a link to see that wages fell behind inflation under Trump, pre-convid.

When you retire, if you have led a prudent life, your costs should be minimal. You should own your own home and it should be appropriately sized (downsize if necessary). You should have a car that you can easily afford. Your medical expenses are well-controlled with Medicare and inexpensive supplements.

And although it has been said a million times, Social Security is a nice income, but it was NEVER INTENDED to be one's sole means of retirement support.

Before SS, it was PRESUMED that if the elderly parents and (uncles) were unable to fully support themselves, they would be welcome in the households of their adult children. Why is this not still the case?

As for trade with China, why does no one ever mention the tremendous benefits that have come with the global economy? We are all surrounded by electronics that would have cost at least twice as much if they had been produced in the U.S. (and would probably not last as long). These excellent bargains on smart TV's, phones, pads and whatnot add value to our lives by making more money available for other stuff.

Any country that would give all means of production of goods and services to other nations is a dang FOOL

The pandemic proved this.............90% of our dang pharma coming from China and we pay more for drugs here than pretty much any country on earth..........Because Pharma buys politicians so they can rape us for Orphan status.......then China steals it........and Europe does too.........then they say HEY AMERICA YOU SUCK.

Currency manipulation of Globalist are why our dollar is dying..........and why the American dream is dying.........because we sold out to the globalist and greed.....and allowed career politicians to do us without a reach around.

Way past due that we produce our own stuff........and throw the globalist out......
