42 million Americans will be starving starting November.

Laughable.
It’s true, our poorest are middle to lower middle class when compared to on a global stage. They are poor here but not compared to billions in India, Africa and other third world nations. I think I read it in a Forbes article or Newsweek awhile back.

Last warning. Pass the CR and move on, or else enjoy the consequences.
well Eman, if those that legislate that which affects our economy would face the consequences of it, maybe we wouldn't be in this situation ~S~

Considering how awash in cash we are, our poor should live better. A declini g birth rate and slowly shrinking workforce will improve things even more.

Members of Congress continue to get paid during government shutdowns, thanks to the 27A, the worst amendment to the constitution since prohibition. But their staff do not get paid.

Maybe Congress should pass a voluntary resolution that no member shall collect his pay during a shutdown. And any who do, will be publicly mocked for it.

Gee, if only Republicans would agree to give free healthcare to illegal aliens Schumer could get off the pot AOC and the rest of the Marxists have him glued to and let our tax dollars flow to illegal aliens.

Public mockery sounds great!

Show me the data for SNAP recipients spending "twice" what a worker does. What even is an "average worker"?
  • The average SNAP benefit per person in 2023 was $190 per month or $6 a day. Max benefits are $298.
  • The average U.S. household (non-SNAP) spends about $700–$900 per month on groceries.
  • SNAP recipients cannot possibly spend twice as much — the math doesn't work.
I am literally killing everything you post. It's easy, cuz you post nothing but false information easily debunked.
What you misrepresent is that most families are not one person. So your $190 per month is bogus and in fact the typical family of three+ would receive close to $600 per month. Black males abandon the family at an 80% rate but you can bet Big Time that he’s enrolled also .
It’s basically a reward your dependency and scams operation

It doesn’t improve nutrition.

Most of it is spent on junk food and drinks. Nearly all of the food is GMO crap that is designed to fatten people up.

If they want to get healthy, they can just eat meat and fat and do some fasting.
You have posted nothing but lies today my friend. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and suggest that you just dont know better, rather than suggest you are purposefully lying.

Trump admin warns 42 million Americans could lose food stamps as shutdown drags on.

USDA is warning that SNAP funds will run dry starting November 1st. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said it does not have the ability to independently reshuffle funds into the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, according to a recent memo obtained by Fox News Digital.

The Government shut down is causing a lack of funds. Trump is not going to do anything about it. He is using this as a tool to get the Democrats to give in on the Government shutdown position.

I do know that the Trump supporters will be saying that this is Chuck Schumers fault as he is the one that advocated for the Democrats not to give in. Nonetheless, the man in CHARGE is Trump and the responsibility falls on his shoulders as he is in a position to fix this, either by giving in to the demands of the Democrats not to cut Medicaid and Medicare, or by finding the funds to give to the SNAP program so that these Americans do not starve!

This will show if Trump truly cares about Americans or if it is all about power and control.
Odd. Shutdowns never fell on 0bama's shoulders. The onus was always on the GOP Congress.

Or just a couple of generations back. Middle-class families had one little B&W television, shared a car, had one phone on the wall in the kitchen, and a window A/C.

One generation further back, and the “community phone” was at the corner drugstore, there was a fan for hot nights, entertainment was a show on the radio.

Nowadays, “poor” people feel deprived if they don’t have the latest iPhone for each kid.

Max benefits are not $298.

Most recipients aren’t by themselves.

Are you really that stupid? Don't you know what printing lots more money would do?
Wealth and money are two different things

Handing money makes the money worthless and devalues money.

Earning it, creates wealth because the dollar has value

Meanwhile, Zelensky bought a ranch for $79.5 million. Ukrainian presidents earn a good salary...

$300 shoes, iPhone for each family member, internet, cable tv, streaming services, 80” TV sets, Xbox, PlayStation, EarPods, smartwatches, subscriptions to keep them active, the poor live with more than I did as a kid. These player jerseys are like $150-200 a piece, and kids wear them all the time. All these places to go out to dinner to, door dash to deliver your food. It is just too much stimulus all the time.

Can you explain to me what average means? I fear you do not understand the meaning. I'll give you a hint. Divide those dollar numbers by the people numbers. PM me if you are having trouble with math.

Wow, given that I was a registered Republican for 35 years, the change to being a "flaming Liberal" has to have a good reason for doing so, especially since the change began in 2008 and it got even bigger when Trump took office in 2016.

I guess, Trump is the reason why so many Republicans have turned into Rinos!
You are a lib now
