Two generations back, many goods and services were affordable. People can live comfortably earning $50-60K annually. Cars were affordable. Housing was within reach. Fast forward to today, a new car cost $30K and up for a no frill no thrills sedan. Insurance is off the chart. Housing prices are unaffordable. Democrats sold the country to China. Yet, Democrats are concerned about the well being of illegal aliens rather than looking after fellow citizens. If you tell that to them, their typical response is you don't know what's good for you.

My car cost more than my parents house did in the 70’s.

The Government shut down is causing a lack of funds. Trump is not going to do anything about it. He is using this as a tool to get the Democrats to give in on the Government shutdown position.

I do know that the Trump supporters will be saying that this is Chuck Schumers fault as he is the one that advocated for the Democrats not to give in. Nonetheless, the man in CHARGE is Trump and the responsibility falls on his shoulders as he is in a position to fix this, either by giving in to the demands of the Democrats not to cut Medicaid and Medicare, or by finding the funds to give to the SNAP program so that these Americans do not starve!

This will show if Trump truly cares about Americans or if it is all about power and control.
