42 million Americans will be starving starting November.

Snap benefits amount to basically nothing budget wise.
It’s $300 for a single person in Virginia (tax-free). That’s quite a generous supplement. I probably average around $400 a month, and I buy unnecessary extras.

What percent of the US do you think lives in poverty? Do you know what the poverty line is?

Answer so you dont have to get off your couch:

36M people live in poverty. Here is the poverty line:

It's well documented that SNAP provides a lift up and not a handout.
Actual poverty? Very few. There are a small percentage of people in the US who know what actual poverty looks like. Its definitely not 13%.

Of that 13% what percentage do you think have a cell phone? The internet? Cable TV or 1 or more monthly subscriptions to a streaming service?

All these "jobs Americans wont do" that only illegal aliens are willing to do, maybe they will be willing to do them...

Trump admin warns 42 million Americans could lose food stamps as shutdown drags on.

USDA is warning that SNAP funds will run dry starting November 1st. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said it does not have the ability to independently reshuffle funds into the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, according to a recent memo obtained by Fox News Digital.

The Government shut down is causing a lack of funds. Trump is not going to do anything about it. He is using this as a tool to get the Democrats to give in on the Government shutdown position.

I do know that the Trump supporters will be saying that this is Chuck Schumers fault as he is the one that advocated for the Democrats not to give in. Nonetheless, the man in CHARGE is Trump and the responsibility falls on his shoulders as he is in a position to fix this, either by giving in to the demands of the Democrats not to cut Medicaid and Medicare, or by finding the funds to give to the SNAP program so that these Americans do not starve!

This will show if Trump truly cares about Americans or if it is all about power and control.
42 million Americans are about to blame Schumer and the Dems for their empty EBT cards.

Last warning. Pass the CR and move on, or else enjoy the consequences.

I imagine a bought and paid for Dem judge will soon rule that these consequences which make Dem politicians less likable is Illegal.

.

If they're intelligent enough to think past the "Trump's fault" lie that the left cult uses for every one of their own stupid mistakes.

The poorest people in America is still in the top 10% of the richest people in the world.

It's mind boggling 42 million are receiving Snap
I see a lot of dems on the street talking to people saying that this shut down is harming more and more people.

They think that providing a list of who is being harmed will bring to light the pain the GOP is causing.

But the truth is, every time they list a group of people who are being harmed, the are in fact, providing a list of the harm they have done to this nation over the past 20 years.

A government helps the people by teaching them to be self-sufficient and to live without the help of government.

Every SNAP card, every food card, every housing program is just a demonstration of their failure.

It also highlights the depth they are willing to go to acquire and retain power.

May be an image of 2 people and text that says 'NEWS FUNDING to ISRAEL WON'T BE IMPACTED BY THE SHUTDOWN'

"Despite the ongoing US government shutdown, all funding will remain unaffected"

Well, it's nice to know who owns US politicians from both parties...

No one in the US generally starves to death unless they are abused. If that is what you think you are fighting you're not a serious person. What those in poverty do is they trade off nutrition when money is tight or they skip meals during tough times. What SNAP does is improve nutrition and food security and stabilizes household budgets and reduces poverty. It allows people in the US to live with dignity. It doesn't keep people alive.

Here is the spending.

Poor Americans always pay the highest share of their income for goods and services whenever the price goes up. Before you blame Republicans, look at what Democrats are doing to CA. Their policies continue to price out those who needed the most.

Show me the data for SNAP recipients spending "twice" what a worker does. What even is an "average worker"?
  • The average SNAP benefit per person in 2023 was $190 per month or $6 a day. Max benefits are $298.
  • The average U.S. household (non-SNAP) spends about $700–$900 per month on groceries.
  • SNAP recipients cannot possibly spend twice as much — the math doesn't work.
I am literally killing everything you post. It's easy, cuz you post nothing but false information easily debunked.

It doesn’t improve nutrition.

Most of it is spent on junk food and drinks. Nearly all of the food is GMO crap that is designed to fatten people up.

If they want to get healthy, they can just eat meat and fat and do some fasting.
