Now it's at $145 billion. Problem is Russa's GDP hasn't risen much, it's still around $2.1 trillion. So Russia is spending three times more on the military, but not making more money.

In that time the US's GDP has gone from $17 trillion to $27 trillion. Russia should have expected to see such growth from $2 to at least $3 trillion. It hasn't.
