First of all, Musk is a billionaire and as such money is important to HIM. In addition, he is not an elected official, meaning that he can lie all he wants with recriminations coming back to stop him. He also is with Trump, meaning that they are trying to prove their accusations correct and Trump is a known liar and Musk will do what Trump; wants.

As far as the government providing the ability to see where the money goes, there is a process that needs to be done for that to happen. It is a legal process that is not done overnight and the one thing that needs to be factored in, is that personal information on people needs to be protected.

All of this is a legal process and neither Trump or Musk is following the legal procedures needed. This opens up the door for lies to be spread by them.

By the way, the Musk/Trump bad is a true thing. Neither of them are good people (proven throughout many years) and both are proven liars. They are there to take advantage of things for their OWN benefit.
