21 Blue States Refuse To Turn Over Their Data On The SNAP Program

Roads are funded by private bonds for the most part. Some tolls and the gas tax.
15% of school funding comes from the feds - closer to 25% in many red states.

25% of road spending is federally funded.

Neither have requirements to collect data just like SNAP doesn’t.

States that allow fraud will have their funds cut off.

I thought this was one of the things DOGE started to address

But as soon as they discovered the decades long multi-trillion UniParty fraud, Trump pulled the plug

Then the FED is entitled to info on those activities if needed. What is wrong with that? If we pay, we are entitled to observe data or results for honest and effective use?
Feds are not entitled to personal data of Americans. If getting money for SNAP ends your right to privacy then driving on roads paid for by taxes ends your right to privacy. Whether I wanna know who has guns and what kind or you want to know who is on SNAP that is private. The states are required to follow the rules. There are audit rules in place. There is no requirement to dump all SNAP recipients into a database for the federal government to own.

Good. Then cut the funds
Future Fraud solved.

Driving on the government road does end my privacy. i'm required to display a license plate which any police officer can scan and get my information. There are cameras lining almost every road and at every intersection that record me and could be used to track my movements at any time.

If you are on a campaign for privacy from government, that would be the place to start not with snap benefits, unless you have a personal stake in receiving snap benefits fraudulently.

Guns are not private either. My first gun was a twenty two that my my dad bought from Western Auto in the seventies with no paperwork. Every gun I've ever purchased since then I've had to provide my information, which is readily available to be subpoenaed anytime that the government wants to see what I have purchased.

That should be the next thing to look into in your quest to protect everybody's privacy from the government.

These states are welcome to not cooperate with the administration's attempt to reduce fraud in order to keep the SNAP program's viable. But then the the administration has the option to cut off funding and let the states pay for their own SNAP.

What do you think these states are hiding?

They cant cut off funding. Congress has approved them. It would be an illegal act. If congress passes a law that SNAP benefits require registration for a national database and the president signs it then they have to provide them . Are you stoopid?

My point on the roads is that there are all kinds of benefits that can be arbitrarily cut off. No road money unless you register for the national database on guns. If you are not a criminal what have you to hide? 2A doesnt protect your gun anonymity.

You really think that the IRS doesn't have personal data of Americans? How about the Social Security Administration? The fact of the matter is that the government ALREADY been had personal information on Americans through various departments. Let's not even get into what kind of personal data that the intelligence alphabet community has on us.

Also, E.O. 14243, signed by President Trump, gives the USDA (through the Food and Nutrition Service) the authority to require states to provide comprehensive and direct access to all SNAP-related data. So, the fight is to determine if this E.O. is constitutional or not.

Trump doesnt have the EO authority to make law. SNAP was passed by congress and its not contingent on Trump's whims. If Trump wants states to comply with his new requirement he will have to get congress to pass a law. You get that right?

You can stop lying. Trump is only targeting states with Democratic governors while states with Republican governors can do whatever they want.
it appears all republicans states have complied.

Once again, democrats will hold citizens hostage to protect illegal immigrants

SNAP laws were not passed with the requirement to collect private information for the Feds.

If the next democratic president asks the states to provide the information of all gun owners or it won’t get federal funding you right wing nuts will be up in arms.

If there is suspected fraud dealing with people and guns, that would be a legitimate request.

Yeah on second thought, this idea is reaching..
If a president can make up requirements AFTER a bill was passed and signed he can make it up for anything. That is why he isnt allowed to do it.

Nobody is being held hostage. The withheld funds will only be the federal portion of the administrative costs. Nobody's benefits will be impacted.

Every citizen is entitled to use the roads and schools. They are not entitled to use SNAP.

The law is clear. They ARE entitled to SNAP. That is what the law says. It’s literally called an ENTITLEMENT program.

/* Rollins is going after the data with threats of being cut off "//

She has said that she wants every SNAP recipient to have to reapply for the program, but in the meantime, she is asking every state for all of their SNAP data so that her department can audit the info for fraud.

All of the red states have already turned over their data but blue states like California, New York and Minnesota are resisting so Rollins has given them an ultimatum. Turn over the data or lose your SNAP funding entirely.

She better follow through on this.
