2025 US Open Championship - USGA

Oakmont's punishing rough and hazards, and virtually unreadable greens make this a test of...something, not sure what.

Here is my silly thought: This course would be great for someone like Moe Norman, one of the most accurate shot-makers ever to play the game professionally.

It costs you $250 to volunteer at the Open. You get some stuff, but still, you have to pay.

The "old man" Adam Scott is one shot back. I wouldn't mind seeing him get his second major. He is a class act all the way.
I watched the entire round today and the golf was really enjoyable to watch. 17 players shot even par or better and all of them are in the top 29 plus ties. Felt bad for Ben Griffin dropping 4 shots down the stretch today. Was sorta hoping Brooks Koepka would at least shoot even par today and stay in the mix too. And yeah...it was fun watching Adam Scott make a charge today.

It's wide open now. I think they are gonna run out of daylight. Final pair is playing the 12th hole right now.

Spaun's putting was unreal on the back 9! Felt bad for Sam Burns not getting a ruling on casual water. You could see the water splash when he hit it.

Several guys had a chance to win at the last 3 holes. After 16, I felt like it was gonna be Spaun or Macyntire.

Just saw Spaun won this major, really happy to see that, he sounds like a down to earth, cool guy, I felt bad for him when he fell apart against Rory earlier this year in a playoff. If memory serves, this is his first PGA tour win? A major? Awesome!

After the first round I bet Hovland to finish in the top 10. 👍
