I always heard it was a hygiene issue. We always went about 12 days at a time without a normal shower. I thought many women who do this contract infections like UTIs that men are much less likely too get from lack of hygiene.

There are still cultures in the world where neither men nor women bathe. Ever.

By leave they don't mean walk off. The service will no longer be a career option. Those who might have joined won't. The military has reduced their standards before to reach recruitment goals. They can do it some more. No one really qualified should join the obamamilitary any way. The services should become the province of gays, women who want to prove a point and the dregs.

Then the sum of the percentages is 100*(a+c)/(b+d).

The clearest way to see that you cannot simply add up the percentages is, if you get a 50% score in one exam and a 50% score in another, you do NOT get 100% in the two exams combined!
