The Age of Fossil Fuels may be waning, but it is not yet over. It won’t be until some other source(s) of energy exist which can IMMEDIATELY replace every single kilowatt hour of electricity currently generated in this country AND the additional load that will be required for electric vehicles and other new technologies.

As an employee of an electric utility company, I can tell you that we are nowhere near meeting that goal. Not even close. Nor will we be at any point in the near future. Not even regionally, never mind nationally.

That’s what you people don’t seem to understand. If we shut it all off today, the nationwide blackouts (not brownouts) would be catastrophic to our nation in the short and long term.

Here in WV one of the biggest fossil fuel producers is our own governor Jay Justice. It seems he gets sued weekly for not paying what he owes to the banks so I imagine at least here, it will simply take care of itself.
