This is nothing new. It’s all about the City Media Market and not the the city or even State geographic boundaries. The New York Giants and Jets have played in New Jersey for 40 + Years. The Washington Redskins/Commanders have played in Maryland for almost 30 years. The Washington Nationals almost set up in Northern Virginia. The San Francisco 49ers play in a stadium that is 40 miles south of the city limits. The Los Angeles Angels play 30 miles south of Los Angeles. The New England Patriots play 30 miles from Boston - meaning, they could take on the Boston monicker.

The Bears will still be the Chicago Bears. The State of Indiana will be the physical host to two NFL Teams. This is how it has been in Maryland for the last 30 years.

Pro Sports aside, Democrats are learning they can only shake down private companies so much before the businesses vote with their feet.
