For the Giants it makes sense because a lot of their Fan base is Jersey, Westchester, Rockland etc.

For the Jets their base is Queens Nassau and Suffolk, never made sense to me.

OAKLAND has lost NBA, NFL and MLB. All of them despite loyal FAN BASES over decades.

STL gained and lost. NBA and two NFL franchises. As a side note, I think the original NFL moved to STL from CHI.
