As I recall Taz, in the summer of 2024 you announced that on good word of very reliable people you knew, Trump had zero chance of getting reelected.

He then went out and took every swing state and won the popular vote too.

By law, Trump was given 1.4 billion extra for finishing that wall. All but 450 miles were finished. He spent the money on construction of new wall and replacement of dilapidated old walls. The real problem is, much of that proposed building new wall in the last 450 miles is that it's privately owned land. Unless it was procured by the Government buying it or imminent domain the owners of the land had to give permission for that construction. Most refused. Instead of doing what needed to be done, he sensationalized things, called it a national emergency, deflected money from things like Military Base Housing and only went so far. He purchases walls that could not be built. Plus, there were millions that are not accounted for.

End birthright citizenship

The 14th Amendment would have to be thrown out of severely rewritten. He never went after it like he should have and gotten the 2/3rds of the States to file for it in a Constitutional Convention or by selling the sitting Congress to pass a law by a 2/3rds majority to amend the 4th amendment. Instead, he sowed hate and fear to the public. Our Constitution was written to be changed as needed but the Founding Fathers didn't make it easy. And yes, some US Citizens were "Deported" to death prisons in South America.

Restore and expand the travel ban

The travel ban’s third and final version restricted U.S. entry to people from the seven countries, plus Chad, North Korea and Venezuela. That was ended since it was an executive order alone. Even though it was supported by Supreme Court in 2018, in his second term it was not supported anymore.

Shift parts of federal law enforcement to assist with immigration enforcement

ICE was extremely expanded. And it was poorly trained. He took support from the Border Patrol and moved it into the ICE operation. When it was first planned, like most, I supported the idea but it was another case of the idea is good but the implementation is not. The end results was, it terrorized families, deported the wrong people and wasn't just for arresting and deporting known criminals. The Communities are now striking back in the Courts and Law Enforcement over this. It's not resolved to this day.

Suspend refugee resettlement

He reduced the Refugee Resettlement to zero. If you agree with this, I suggest he read the Statue of Liberty inscription.

It used to be that if someone could make it from a deep south american country into Mexico or any other friendly nation, they could apply for US Citizenship. Only about 15% met the requirements and would have to find their way to the legal US Border to finish the process. Trump stopped that. That means that the Caravans were made larger even before he was elected the first time. And make no convention about it, the Caravans still are happening but there are fewer people doing border patrol because the are playing ICE in other parts of the country.
