What is it with republicans just sending out money to people?

I received one of the bush boy checks. Which I considered an insult. So I turned lemons into lemonade.

I found an organization that all they do is pay for abortions for women who can't afford it or help women get to a state where they can have an abortion.

I sent all of that insulting first check to that organization.

So tax dollars paid for several abortions.

I am very glad I won't get trump's checks too. If I had I would send the whole amount to that organization.

It is not the government's job to pay people. That is the job of employers. It's the government's job to make sure employers are properly paying people a living wage with proper benefits.

Employers should be paying people sick leave in this time. If the virus goes on for more than a few weeks, people should be getting unemployment.

I don't know if it's still law but in the Reagan years a law was passed that those who were still employed but had their hours cut could get unemployment to fill in that gap. That way employers didn't have to lay off as many people, people could still pay their living expenses and our economy didn't totally collapse.

If that law still exists it should be used.

Meanwhile, don't let your favorite restaurant go under, if they are doing take out or delivery, use it. Help them stay afloat in this time.

I thought they said they were going to send out checks in April and May and it would be based on last year's taxes, which is why they asked people to get their taxes done ASAP.
