With Trump and Sanders Win, Are We Seeing a Full Scale Revolt in America?

I thnk both parties in new Hampshire were misguided.

however, trump feeds on the base's hate. Bernie feeds on it's hope. that isn't divisive, it's just naïve.

I agree
Then kindly point out where Trump said anything that was hate speech. You libtards keep going on and on about Trump tapping into the hate vote, but it is all nothing more than a bullshit smear job without specific quotes.
your kidding right ???
No, I am not kidding. I do know that Trump opening campaign speech has been labeled as hate speech toward Hispanics when he never said any thing pf the kind. But I dont want to set up a Straw Man here; either put up some links to Trumps supposedly racist speech or shut the hell up about it.

You libtards repeat bullshit lies among each other so much you simply assume the lies are true because everyone you know regards it as true based on ZERO evidence, so, come on; put up or shut up.
that is your opinion that I don't agree with ... it was his implications that are racist ... he said mexican, drug dealers, murders, and rapist are coming across our boarders ... that statement alone is saying to mexican who came across the boarder are murders rapist and drug dealers ... he didn't say some of the part of them his implication was all of them... he said that to arouse the bigoted republican base ... which it did .. I not saying all republicans are bigoted i saying he woke up a lot of them ... whats bull shit here is you not seeing that which tells me you too might be a bigot

Well then, being 2nd generation Mexican, American.......I suppose I should be pissed!

Fortunately, my father made sure I was raised as an American, because he knew that the old country offered nothing but graft. (His description, not mine) He insisted we speak English in our home, no Spanish, or we would always be behind the 8 ball. (He loved pool).

He took me to good ole Mexico one time when I was 6 to meet relatives I had never known, and showed me what Mexico was really like, and asked me if I would want to live there. I was scared to death; and he taught me well.

Must have been extremely hard for him to do it, he loved his country I am sure. And yet, he sacrificed to give me the best opportunity available, by coming here legally, and giving us a path.

I remember him being stopped by the INS in Chicago and put in jail because he didn't drive, (always public transportation for him) looked Mexican, and pronounced his "Js" like "Ys!" Mom had to go down with my oldest brother and produce a marriage certificate to prove he belonged here.

He came home and got us all together and told us...... Be American, speak perfect English, this is America. I never forgot those words, I was 7 years old.

Some Hispanics need to learn reality. Bringing a failed government philosophy with you, just turns Eden back to the hell from which you escaped. Eastern Europeans learned this quickly. I have friends who escaped from Austria in a horse drawn cart at the age of 5 as the Nazis came in.

This is the land of milk and honey to all that seek a safe haven. If we do not get to choose who we allow in as a society, then we will have undesirables that will screw up everything we have created together. Makes no difference where they are from, but it does make a difference who they are.

Thanks to my father Julian being legal, I am here in the greatest country the world has ever been witness to.

He would be aghast that his former, fellow, illegal, countrymen, we're trying to screw his progeny, his legacy, his great grandchildren.

They go all in, but how can the Donald possibly be telling what he really thinks, when he's flip flopped on everything he's been saying for years?
The GOP Establishment used to say "how can Reagan possibly be telling what he really thinks, when he's flip flopped on everything he's been saying for years?"

Same response; people grow and learn and change their minds sometimes.

A thought provoking post, thanks.

neither of these people are "revolutionary".

Many people, including myself, think that they are for upending the current corporate crony system.

I dont think anyon e wants a street fighting, violent revolution like you and your social Marxist comrades want, dear.

and unlike the radical right that is still crying they can't discriminate against gays and blacks, I don't hate my government. I just want it to do better.
Other than fagot marriage, no one is crying over the advancement of civil liberties for fags and blacks.

trump is perfectly happy to have cronies that benefit him. Bernie, is well... Bernie. he's probably the purest of any politician. I wonder if that will change now that he wants something so big. me? I don't see the country voting for a socialist jew with a Brooklyn accent.

Reagan and his boy lee Atwater were always FOS. Reagan raised taxes about 8 times and the debt ceiling about 13 times... and made lots of deals with tip o'neil.

he did the greatest disservice to this country ever by pretending that "government is the problem".

the reality... sometimes government can't fix problems. but in many instances it can.

Reagan was saying the same think in 80 he said in 76. If you're comparing the Big Quack to Reagan, hit yourself in the head with a hammer.
When Reagan first ran in 1968 for President, this is exactly the same thing the Establishment said.

Save that hammer for your own head.

Reagan had no choice; Tip O'Neil knew how to be an effective Speaker unlike the Speakers the GOP has had that followed Gingrich.

Reagan did not say that the government can do nothing right. He claimed that government regulations had become excessive and wanted to scale it back; and it worked.

Bullshit. Reagan gave Goldwater's keynote and Nixon dissed him. Go f yourself.

I am kinda leaning this way too. Burn the fuckers down and dance on their ashes, lol.

LISTEN UP GOP ESTABLISHMENT! Reform or your day is through.
Trump and Sanders win: We are witnessing a full scale revolt, America | Fox News

To my mind, Tuesday night’s results show that there are finally politicians who understand how marginalized, disenfranchised and betrayed a majority of Americans feel. It’s both Republicans and Democrats, including the 42 percent of Americans who now identify as independent because they think the two parties don’t represent their values and positions.
We are seeing a full scale rejection of the political establishment. This is a threat that we did not take seriously enough over the past few years, as evidenced by the fact that most rejected Trump as a clown and a joke. His ideas on illegal immigration and placing a temporary ban on Muslims ruffled our national feathers even though a majority of Republican primary voters agreed with him. That’s how out of touch our political class has become.
Indeed, 46 percent of GOP voters say they feel betrayed by Republican politicians. Trump won 32 percent of that group.
We did the same thing to Bernie Sanders who began this race upwards of 50 points behind Hillary Clinton. We said a socialist could never win. And he may not be able to win a national election, but we are seeing an electorate so starved for an honest and trustworthy politician that they will make allowances for ideologies that they may not have considered before.
Sanders has argued about oligarchy and money in politics and has been his whole career. He doesn’t flip flop or evolve on his advocacy for the average American.
Sanders is just Bernie Sanders. And Donald Trump is just Donald Trump.
We are living in a time when trust in Americans institutions has collapsed. A recent Pew survey shows that less than 20 percent of Americans trust the government always or most of the time. And a CNN poll showed that 60 percent think the American Dream is unachievable today.....
What would one expect after eight years of the moron? Get further left and go for Maoism? Or turn right to the wisdom of our founders?

Sanders will not get much through a GOP Congress, but you can bet he will eventually have a Democratic Congress if the GOP stonewalls protections for workers that are unemployed and continues to kiss corporate ass.

heres the typical uninform voter ... hillary hasn't done anything illegal with her emails to date ... nobody in the justice system has charged her or challenged her .with anything... as for foreign contributions like all politicians receive foreign contributions they are sent to all of them ... its what they do when discovered in hillary's case they have given that money back... all of these allegations made from the right have failed ... accept in the mind of people like you...

1. "hillary hasn't done anything illegal with her emails to date"
FALSE: The FBI and State Department both have pointed out violations of the law: Failure to turn over all e-mails as required by the law, failure to turn over all classified - especially TS/SCI material - before leaving the State Department, failure to sign a form required by law after completing security training, possessing secret - especially TS/SCI - material after having been 'read out' of these programs and leaving the State Dept, perjury, mishandling classified information, illegal (attempted) destruction of classified...and there is a host of others that will be coming...

2. "nobody in the justice system has charged her or challenged her"
Poor attempt to claim Hillary has done nothing wrong, as they know charges aren't filed until AFTER the investigation is complete...and the investigation is still ON-GOING.

3. "for foreign contributions like all politicians receive foreign contributions they are sent to all of them"
- No other candidate is reportedly accepting donations from MEern nations that fund/support terrorist/terrorists, who murder and mutilate women, and who kill homosexuals. Hillary has refused to release all of the entities / sources from whom she is getting money.

4. "Hillary has given back donations"

- Exclusive: Despite Hillary Clinton promise, charity did not disclose donors

- Hillary Clinton To Stop Taking Donations From Private Prisons
** Taking Money from 'Private Prisons'
:wtf:

- The cash donations Hillary simply has no answer for

- Clinton charity to keep taking foreign money during campaign
*** Does not say she gave back any of the money from those other foreign countries

Hillary Clinton isn't ready to disclose who's funding her campaign
so far every fact checkers that I've look up has said she never received and money for her campaign from foreign countries ...

why would the clinton's charity be a issue of them getting money from foreign countries to run their charity ... how can that be considered as hillary getting donations for her campaign... you nut jobs will read anything into smooth that is nothing

all campaign have to review where her donations come from she has done that ... its all over the web who she has received money from .... and there aren't any foreign countries on them ...

actually she isn't taking money from private prisons ... another distortion, any for your republican spin machine... there are several CEO who run private prison who have been going out to the public getting donations for her its on the web... there isn't anything wrong by doing this... it happens all the time ... hell the company I worked for ... each election they would have a meeting for you to be able to donate money from your pay check to the republicans or democrats or nothing at all ... thats all these guys are doing ....how is that a bad thing

The cash donations Hillary simply has no answer for

Among all the rivers of money that have flowed to the Clinton family, one seems to raise the biggest national security questions of all: the stream of cash that came from 20 foreign governments who relied on weapons export approvals from Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

Federal law designates the secretary of state as “responsible for the continuous supervision and general direction of sales” of arms, military hardware and services to foreign countries. In practice, that meant that Clinton was charged with rejecting or approving weapons deals — and when it came to Clinton Foundation donors, Hillary Clinton’s State Department did a whole lot of approving.
Again their foundation... it has nothing to do with her campaign donation coming from foreign countries ... that is their business or in there case their foundation ... they are allowed to do anything they want as long as it didn't violated us law ... they did nothing to violate US law ... you are making mountains out of mice hills

Guns for donations, certainly may not be against the law but......

Really, defending Mrs. Bosnia Clinton must be tiring.

Reagan had a choice. he could have played ted cruz's game and shut down the government. he chose not to because he had a congress that worked with him, unlike the extremists who have hijacked the GOP.

You libtards like to pretend that Ted Cruz invented the government shut down, but no, he did not.

During Gerald Ford's presidency, one funding gap occurred, lasting 10 days. Under the Carter administrations, funding gaps caused 5 partial shutdowns that affected only the departments of Laborand Health, Education, and Welfare. These lasted from 8 to 18 days and the primary issue of dispute was federal funding for abortion. During the Reagan administration, there were funding gaps with technical shutdowns lasting less than 48 hours or over weekends while spending measures were negotiated rendering them to be of negligible effect. A funding gap during the George H. W. Bush administration also caused a weekend shutdown, resolved late the following Monday.[2]
During the Clinton administration, there were two full government shutdowns during 1995 and 1996 lasting 5 and 21 days respectively, both the longest and most severe to that date. These shutdowns led to massive furloughs and significant disruption. The primary issue was the United States budget deficit.
During Barack Obama's presidency, the United States federal government shutdown of 2013 ran from October 1 to 16, 2013.

Agree...that's why we must get a guy in there who can create jobs and take that problem off the board...or at least reduce it to a manageable level.

The wonder of a Brooklyn Jew who claims to be a democratic socialist vis a vis both Trump whose rhetoric is disturbing (fascist lite?) is something no one could have predicted.

The why seems obvious in retrospect. The question then becomes do the majority of Americans want our nation to change in the direction Trump advocates, or the direction Sanders advocates?

The calculus then puts the electoral college in play, how will the red states and blue states vote?

Beyond that, how will a Congress respond to the rhetoric of Trump and the promises of Sanders? My fear is four more years of harsh words, and in the end the Congress will once again be divided by partisanship and have approval ratings under 10% (too high in my opinion).

Yeah because if the Establishment cant run the country into the ground then no one can!

Trump played the political crony game and played it well and now wants to dismantle it. and he profits handsomely in brand name value if he pulls it off.

Sanders is who is his and I dont think voters will hold that against him if he can put the Wall Street genie back in the bottle. I know I dont.

If the choices come down to an American who wants to make American great again or another asshole who wants to 'fundamentally change' America even more (Sanders being an avowed Socialist), I will take the American who embraces the Constitution, supports enforcing ALL of our laws, and wants what is best for America. At least Trump does not represent the antithesis of what this nation is all about, as Obama has done and Bernie wants to do/be.

In the end, without the support and actions of Congress neither candidate will be able to keep their promises...unless they decide to exercise the precedent begun by Barak Obama, and that is to go around / by-pass Congress to do whatever they want.
