Depends on the improvements. Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no. But what they don't do, is waste money.... at least, not the successful ones.

Getting paid for doing a job is a pretty American principle

Getting pay commensurate with your skills is as well. Just becaiuse you joined a club doesn't mean that suddenly emptying garbage cans is worth $45/hour. Reality check - ANYBODY CAN EMPTY A GARBAGE CAN.

Private schools are always better than public. They have to be.

Otherwise, why would a parent pay thousands of dollars to send their kids to private school, when they could send them to a "better" public school for free?

Private schools must be better to stay in business. And they are.

I can answer this based on my experience... public sector employees, in general, are less motivated, less ambitious and less productive.

I have several municipal agencies as clients, and many private sector clients. The contrast is startling.

Eventually, we'll have empty factories that don't produce anything, but have 300 workers showing up to hang out for 8 hours and getting paid by federal bailout money.
