Why Would Anyone Vote For Donald Trump

Trump is selling a pretty good program. Let's stop the insane trade policies that have deindustrialized this country. Sanders talks pretty much the same. Is it any wonder these two guys pack in the crowds and have the ownership class worried? As far as stopping the mass illegal immigration, Trump may sound like he's going a little too extreme, but maybe he's not. When Mexican drug dealers start to put bounties on presidential candidates, and we really have no idea who the hell comes into this country, and in how many numbers, then it's time to rethink our basically, open border policy.

We have no "Open border policy", unless you count the trips I make to Nogales for dental work.

All Donald Trump is offering us to make America Great Again. He supports a strong military, support for our veterans, a level playing field for corporations and companies engaged in international trade, creating jobs, securing our borders and eliminating illegal immigration. He wants to stop the practice of foreign nationals from coming here to have an anchor baby. He is for having experienced people on his team to negotiate with representatives of other countries who won't sell the United States and its allies out and cave in to unreasonable demands by countries that cannot be trusted in adhering to the treaties and agreement they sign. Why should anyone at all vote for him when we can have:

Open borders welcoming illegal aliens and terrorists from any nation that wishes to come onto our soil and do us harm. $15.00 an hour minimum wage for slinging hamburgers which leads to unemployment and automation of processes. College tuition paid by others, increased gun control and limits upon a police officer's normal performance of his/her duties, new and more stringent regulations imposed upon businesses which tend to prohibit new start ups and increase failures of existing businesses. More stringent EPA regulations on fossil fuels which will slow new discoveries and impede production as well as increase the costs of fuel oil, gasoline, electricity, and even propane.

Yes indeed. We need to work to destroy Donald Trump. We cannot allow anyone with an agenda as radical as his to ever become President of this nation.

Yeah, he's against immigrants, unless they're working for him. He's for a stronger military and people paying for this strong military, unless it's his company/bank account which is having to pay those taxes. He wants to make America great again, which means it pays Trump to do business in the US rather than making him pay his fair share of taxes.

Yes, the United States of Trump will be a much better place if Trump isn't paying taxes and is getting all the immigrants working for pittance in HIS companies and not for any of his competitors.

Yeah, let's give the US far more low paid jobs and not bother to educate the workforce so it's got the skills to do the jobs that pay a lot of money. Hell, in 20 years time the US can be doing all the low paid manufacturing for China, rather than the other way around, and the educated Chinese can be making a fortune of low paid US workers......

You can see when a country is on the way down, the people get weird ideas that make no sense.

Why don't the people have an education? I came from a below poverty level family and I have a college education. Those are lame and worn out excuses.

As opposed to no jobs?
You think everyone who isn't a scientist should be unemployed?

I don't think you quite understand.

There are low paid jobs and there are high paid jobs. Those who want a low paid job can do the things like working in a shop to serve those who do higher paid jobs.

While most first world countries are looking to beef up education to make their workforce employable in the future, the US is going about at trying to get more low paid jobs into the country so they don't have to pay for education.

As for your question, the answer is no.

They have an education. They just don't have an education which is aimed at the jobs that are out there.

Some people might excel. But we're not talking about the individual here. We're talking about SOCIETY. If society wants there to be high tech jobs widely available then there needs to be an education system which will produce enough people with the skills to do those jobs. If it doesn't, then the jobs will go elsewhere.

It's not so difficult to understand, is it?

As for your question, the answer is no.

So we import "geniuses" from India under the guise that Americans don't have the skill set.
What "skill set"? It's never defined by CEOs.
If Indian is supposedly breeding "geniuses", why do they need to come to the US?
Heck, if Indian is supposedly breeding "geniuses", why are they brokering technology deals with Israel?

Too tragic as we bring them in to do grunt coding and they go to Israel to develop new technology.
Then corporate America comes up with some nonsense that no Americans have any skills to do anything except go on food stamps.

The skillset?
Work for minimum wage, be compliant and be available 24/7.

It is for me. I'm not an education expert by any means but I do know for a fact that here where I live the Vocational Technical School as well as the colleges canvass the area employers and offer courses tailored toward their needs. Such cooperation is also going on in nearby Alabama. Perhaps some folks do reside in areas where this is not happening which is really stupid.

I would have to say that someone chooses to blame others yet once again for a responsibility he/she should be responsible for.

However I'm talking much wider than this. Firstly, if a country has a plan of how they want to be, and they go and attract the companies they want, then they'll get them. For example Detroit was car manufacturer and attracted the people needed to make cars. I'm assuming silicon valley also is the same.

But this is on a local level. Germany, for example, decided how they wanted their country to run, and they sort of when out and got people educated to the level where they were going to be producing high quality goods. The US might be doing so on a local level, getting people trained, but it's not pushing an agenda for how the US will be in 20 years time in terms of what it produces, what high level jobs will almost certainly exist. Mostly a lot of jobs will be taken by the Chinese, you'll see.

Perhaps it's a personal choice? You will always have a demand for electricians, carpenters, plumbers, auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, HVAC mechanics, etc. Such tried and true jobs also avail a pathway for one to start his own business as well. Many people simple choose to go into fields which are already overcrowded or have little demand.

A lot of Trump's programs would cost money, especially a stronger military. Nevertheless, he wants to cut taxes, especially for rich people.

Republicans do not understand that 5 - 2 = 3

They like to pretend that 5 - 2 = 7

I'd personally much rather spend the money on the military than on free college tuition and taxpayer subsidies for Obamacare to cover illegal aliens.
