This is Quite Amusing coming from someone who blames all of Obama's failures on BOOOOSSSHHHHH!.

Just sayin'.
Well Bush was a "moderate" socialist. The only things he screwed up were when he acted like a communist war hawk... so... Yeah Bush sucked but Obama makes Bush look like a genius.

Hahahahaha...Once again I have the opportunity to expose another poster by asking one simple question: Is Bush responsible for anything that is happening today? Anything?

I am amazed lately at the anger that is being exhibited by many of the posters on USMB. While not exclusively so, it seems much of the anger if coming from the conservative and RW stance. I just don't understand why the elevated levels of anger. We are here to rationally debate different topics and issues. No reason to insert anger into the conversations.

Does anyone have any idea why?

Thanks

Without opening this thread I knew you would blame it all on RWers, at least you are a consistant partisan hack.

The reason the COUNTRY is mad is because of a failure in leadership, pure and simple.

Yes, this is the least productive Congress is over 50 years. they should all give their checks back each month.

This great country is clearly in decline and is in desperate need of sober, mature, civil, thoughtful discourse. People from all points in the political spectrum who are thinking clearly enough to recognize that we are indeed in this together, and that good ideas can and DO come from many sources.

Instead, our public political discourse is controlled, polluted and distorted by narcissistic ideologues who would MUCH rather "win" some shallow, temporary debate for their "side" with intellectual dishonesty and personal attacks, than practice the curiosity, humility and intellectual elasticity required to solve such significant problems together.

This board serves us examples of this behavior 24/7/365, providing a vivid reflection of the national political climate. It's a fascinating psychological/sociological/anthropological study, but it's also a clear indicator of why we remain in decay.

I didn't say where the failure lies, but being a partisan you couldn't help yourself. NO, branch of the government is showing leadership, neither houses of Congress and especially not the President. We are in a malaise much like we saw during Carter. Only difference, they have spent us into a hole we may never recover, and you can't blame it on the Iraq war no more.

The real problem is that two of the branches are controlled by "my way or no way" democrats.

Harry Reid’s Obstructionism

It took a while, but the media seem to have finally noticed Senate majority leader Harry Reid’s unprecedented obstructionism.
The New York Times reported last week on Reid’s “brutish style” and “uncompromising control” over the amendments process in the Senate. Why are more people finally catching on to Reid’s flagrant disregard for Senate customs? In part because conservatives aren’t the only ones complaining.
Democrats such as Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota — who wants to repeal Obamacare’s medical-device tax — and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York — who has waged a highly publicized campaign to reform the way the military handles sexual-assault cases — have been denied votes on their proposed amendments to various bills. Gillibrand had hoped to attach her sexual-assault amendment to the defense-appropriations bill that passed in December, but no amendments were allowed. Klobuchar has called for “a more open amendment process” because she’d like a vote on repealing the medical-device tax.

What exactly do you think is in decay? If the government is right the economy grew 4,6 percent last quarter, not bad for a country in decay. As discussed in another thread the S&P 500 companies profits are at an all time high, not bad for a country in decay. I hear of the decay of our infrastructure, and I know judging thing by what I see is risky, but the roads and infrastructure around me seems to be just fine, it seems to be in the urban areas that are having a problem sustaining a class of non-working people and maintaining the infrastructure. Is that were we are in decline?

The problem in urban areas is that we just can't hire someone to dig and replace a pipe line. Prevailing wages and such nonsense need factored in making all public work project expensive. Even at that where I live they are burying miles of gas pipe lines to support fracking. If someone told me they would be doing something so massive 5 years ago I would have said they were crazy but here they are, money talks. Things can be done with the proper incentive.

Here's the difference. Conservatives get angry because the left wants to take over their lives. Liberals get angry because conservatives object.

that is the result of having a two party strangle hold on the system. You fine w/ the two-party monopoly?

Nope, and I can see that as part of the problem.

And given the fact that we ARE dealing with a monopoly, and that the monopoly makes the rules, I don't see how this gets fixed.

The one hope I have is that it is done through the culture, if enough influential people decide they've had enough and say so. There are no such leaders right now, and in fact those who might be considered "leaders" are contributing to the problem. Rather than leading the marginalization of the destructive behavior, they are participating in it.

I proved my point.

So your point was that you're a partisan drone whose visible spectrum of events is limited to defining them as Democrat or Republican controlled.

Bravo.

No I was pretty clear: Is Bush responsible for anything that is happening today? Anything? Care to answer or will you run away from it too?

George Washington is responsible for anything happening today.

What is your point? You want me to list every president since him to Bush? You believe there's some sort of discontinuity in the time-space continuum that will allow Obama to escape responsibility during his presidency?

Ok let me start over. When someone asks a question they are looking for you to answer. You didnt answer. Maybe the rules of Q and A are beyond you.

Either way, thanks again for proving my point.

you should discard the two party paradigm as a viable set-up & stop settling for two sides of the same coin. Both of them essentially work for the same people.

the way it is right now is "heads they win, tails we lose".

I'll be happy to answer even the most stupid of questions: Yes, Bush IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING HAPPENING TODAY.

George Washington is Responsible for anything happening today.

Obama is responsible for anything happening today.

Now that we've discovered what an expert you are regarding "the rules of Q and A,"

1. What is your point?
