Socialism has "become popular" because through the left-wing takeover of the public school system we've cultured an entire generation of people who believe they are owed endowments from the public treasury simply because they exist.

"If you can't afford X it's because rich people have stolen all the wealth. If you don't succeed in society it's because you're a victim." - This is the mantra of the modern day left.

Almost all of the problems that America has today is because the federal government, with the blessing of the Supreme Court, has been continually overreaching both the direction and the limits imposed by the Constitution.

They did over reach and stomp the States Rights and got involved in places they should have never of entered into. Example: Education.
