I believe Ford. The facts are pretty convincing and support her credibility. I am listing the facts, and scoring them for their probative value on a 1 - 5 scale.

Revealed the attack in 2012 - 5
There would be no reason for her to make up this story in 2012. She stated then that the two individuals involved had become prominent members of Washington society, and that is true for Kavanaugh and Judge.

Revealed Kavanaugh's name in 2012 - 2
That she revealed the name only to her husband drastically reduces the impact of this piece of information. We can't ignore the possibility that her husband is willing to lie to support her. But we also cannot discount his statements simply because he is her husband. If there were potential for some kind of tangible benefit for this couple to gain, I would score this a "1", but any possible benefit to be gained would be several steps removed, at best.

Anonymous July letter - 3
Anyone can submit an anonymous letter and say anything. In and of itself it doesn't mean much, and by itself it wouldn't doing much with. But what is significant here is that Ford is not, in any way, trying to launch a last minute torpedo to delay Kavanaugh's confirmation. She submitted an "FYI" letter to inform her Senator, but she didn't want to be in the spotlight. Feinstein's office probably handled this in a very partisan way, playing political games. But that is no reflection on Ford's credibility. Ford only came forward after the letter was leaked and made public.

Going into hiding - 3
In conjunction with the previous point, it is pretty clear that Ford is looking for 15 minutes of fame. To the contrary, she would rather stay out of the spotlight. She didn't have to step forward and reveal herself, and she doesn't like being in the spotlight, but she's done it anyway. What we're seeing is much more consistent with a sexual assault victim who is struggling for the strength to speak out, than a partisan who is making salacious lies. This doesn't speak directly to the veracity of her claims. But her reluctance to testify is consistent with the fact that she hadn't wanted to come forward in the first place, which supports her credibility.

Request for FBI, other investigations - 4
While not wanting to testify in front of the entire nation, she has said that she would want the FBI to investigate. This would be consistent with a sexual assault victim who longs for privacy. But perhaps more importantly, it would open her up to legal liability. And that fully neutralizes the suggestions by some that her reluctance to testify her way of trying to avoid perjury.

Classmate claims to have known about incident - 1
Contemporary knowledge of the incident would be a powerfully convincing fact. If what this classmate is saying is true, it's devastating and puts seals the deal. However, much more is needed before it can be afforded significant weight. As it stands now, this classmate could easily be lying and just trying to tip the scales for partisan reasons. This classmate suggests that the incident became general knowledge among much of the student body. So we should be able to expect there to be other classmates who would also remember hearing about the incident. If others come forward, this point could become strong enough to eliminate all doubt. Until then, it is a very weak piece of evidence. Especially because every indication from Ford thus far is that she kept the incident secret out of embarrassment.

Your analysis and ratings notwithstanding, it is utterly absurd to disqualify an otherwise outstanding person for an incident that happened decades ago before he had reached legal age and while he was drunk. If this is the worst thing he has very done, and there is nothing I have seen he has done anything else since then (no pattern of poor judgement and bad behavior) then he should be confirmed post haste.

and while he was drunk.

That is not.

But the bigger problem I see at this point is one of honesty and integrity. Of course, the Democrats are screwing that up entirely and are once again highlighting their incredible talent for failing when victory is handed to them. There is already significant reason to believe that Kavanaugh has lied under oath during this confirmation process. Now, with these accusations coming forth, he is denying them. Given that the accusations are very credible, his denials appear to be more lies, which seems to put Kavanaugh in a position of being an untrustworthy liar. That is a disqualifying trait for a Supreme Court justice.

for the first one - yet we now have people saying they recall hearing about it back in high school. that would directly refute fact #1.

therapist has (4) people, that changed. so many "facts" keep changing when its discovered to be impossible.

YES, let's go over the ACTUAL facts:

No evidence.
No witnesses.
The 'witnesses' she did cite have stated IT NEVER HAPPENED.
No criminal charges filed.
No desire to testify.
No desire to testify under oath.

The accusation was brought to light - against the 'victims' will, by a desperate corrupt Democrat Senator who compromised national security by climbing into bed with Chicomm leaders years ago to enrich herself and harbored a Chinese spy / facilitated Chinese espionage against her own country for 20 years. She held on to this unsubstantiated 2nd-hand rumor - which she now says she does not even totally believe - until the very last minute / most opportune time t cause maximum damage / delay for the benefit of the party - not Ford, rape / sexual assault victims, choosing to go extremely public with this despite having no evidence to support it.

The 'victim', again, had no desire to go public, asked that this NOT be shared, and has been dragged into the spotlight.

She is an admitted Trump-Hating, Conservative Judge-hating, pu$$y hat-wearing, Womens' March-participating extremely active Progressive Socialist activist who tried to scrub / erase THIS before the media really started digging once Feinstein initiated the 'political hit'.

This deplorable 'Hail Mary' in the 11th hour before the Kavanaugh confirmation vote, the 'Politics of Personal Destruction' tactic right out of their playbook is brought to you .. again ... by the Party who is right this moment completely ignoring a woman who was abused physically by Keith Ellison, who they are trying to make the #2 man in the DNC. (Unlike Ford, she has produced evidence.)

It is being brought to you by the party who has been so infested with criminal sexual predators / criminals within their ranks in the Senate that their members created a very special committee whose sole responsibility was (still is) to pay for the silence of their members' victims with tax payer dollars FOR DECADES....

It is brought to you by the same party whose President was Impeached, after a career marked with accusations of sexual harassment, sexual assaults, and rapes while his wife bullied, berated, demonized, and silenced his victims...who now claims 'EVERY woman must be believed'. :p

It is brought to you by the Party who could not come up with a successful argument for why their candidate should be elected but instead pulled this same tactic - women crawling out of the woodwork and law suits being filed while his life was being ripped apart by the Liberal media only to have all of it disappear overnight after he decided he had had enough of the BS and dropped out of the race - Herman Cain.

It is being brought to you by a party that has lost its mind after having lost the House, lost the Senate, and after their proven criminal, national security-compromising traitorous candidate - who could not win her party's nomination after cheating, rigging primaries, and breaking laws ran the worst campaign in US history and lost to Donald Trump....a party who has done NOTHING since then except to attempt to tear down anyone and everything they can to oppose the President and UN-DO the 2016 election results that they refuse to accept.

Review over.

You presented no facts just your opinions. Not surprising because there are no facts.

Decades ago? Uh-huh.... People Ford claimed were there, who she claimed 'saved her from rape', have declared IT NEVER HAPPENED.

So to summarize, the FBI should get involved in what is at worst a high school drunken event, an “almost” sexual assault. When did that become a Federal Crime?

Now, all accusers must be believed automatically. That seems strange considering that there are not only accounts from the era, but police reports regarding Kieth Ellison, and this fellow still has the full support of the same party that claims that this proves that the individual is a bad guy.

The absolute worst that can be said of this case was that it was a near sexual assault, while drinking, and partying. Nobody would find the fellow guilty at that time in our history. Before you start the rant, no I am not saying anyone deserved it. However, the mistake we make is to apply modern norms, to history. Even if the police had gotten involved over this “high school drunken escapade” no charges would have been filed. Because there was no assault according to the standards of the era.

So why does the FBI need to investigate? Even if everything that Ms. Ford says is absolutely Gospel Truth, and I have some doubts that it is as clear cut as she says, then there still wasn’t a crime at the time.

You should probably read her yearbook and she should have gotten her story straight...more holes than swiss cheese

Oh yes, the bitch got drunk at times, so she deserved to be sexually assaulted eventually.

Problem with her being drunk at the time is it destroys the credibility of her testimony. If she was assaulted, her ability to identify her attacker(s) is impaired by the influence of alcohol. Alcohol impairs her ability to recall details of what actually happened.

Add to that her account between now and 2012 has some clear contradictions. She never identified Kavanaugh by name. And the clear political games she is playing this looks more and more like nonsense daily.

Regardless, I don’t see how any reasonable person can claim that someone who admits they were impaired by alcohol could possible
Be credible

So why does the FBI need to investigate?

They DON'T.

1. Not their jurisdiction.

2. No criminal charges have been filed.

3. It is an unsubstantiated rumor released to the public by a 3rd party against the will of the individual in the rumor.

Feinstein and the Democrats are complete and utter unethical, immoral pieces of fecal matter.

Admittedly intoxicated - impaired judgment and memory, which explains why her 2 'witnesses' have declared the incident NEVER HAPPENED.

If she was too drunk to know / remember who was there, what else is she completely wrong about? (Rhetorical)

'Nuff said - hold the Confirmation vote tomorrow.

As I have said if it wasn't important enough to report decades ago it is not important enough to report today.

well I've always heard someone drunk doesn't have full recognition of their thoughts. so how can she remember if she was drunk? You believe her why? why can't she remember time and place? drunk!!! disqualifies any other comment out of her mouth. She has the ability Monday to speak her peace, yet she refuses? sorry, you don't get to crush a man's life on a nothing burger. sorry. either speak up or get out.

The biggest point is that after six background checks, there is nothing in Kavanaugh's past that corroborates her story concerning his character. in fact 65 women came forward and said his character is exemplary
