The british had only 653 murders last year. of those, only 38 happened with guns. Their homicide rate is 1.03 out of 100,000.
We had 14,827 murders, of which 8,896 were committed with guns. Our homicide rate is 4.7 per 100,000.
According to the Sydney-based Institute for Economics and Peace, the U.K. had 933 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2012, down from 1,255 in 2003. In the U.S., the figure for 2010 was 399 violent crimes per 100,000 people.

About 70 percent of the killings occurred in what Papachristos found was a social network of only about 1,600 people — out of a population of about 80,000 in those neighborhoods.
If you ban guns, the bloodshed will go way up. way way up. and those who want to ban guns will be pretty scarce if such a law were to pass

Are you still trying to pass off this study as meaning anything? This was a study of ONE neighborhood.
And you think it isn't true....that these major cities don't have small, multi block areas where most of the drug crime happens?

That isn't what the study claimed. It didn't claim that all the crime happened in one neighborhood. It only studied one neighborhood and found that a large percentage of crime victims ran in the same social circles..
I didn't claim it either....I said... small, multi block areas....that is not saying just one.....but it doesn't change the fact that most of the shootings are in isolated areas in these cities and they aren't rampant throughout these cities....
gun control schemes were a way liberals could pretend they were doing something about crime while not pissing off their bloc of voters that included criminals and those who make excuses for them..the police and prosecutors have vast powers that American police do not have...including the ability to search anyone at any time...the ability to search homes at will, the ability to hold suspects without access to lawyers for days.....the ability to abuse suspects and have judges ignore the treatment...

The police in NYC tried "stop + frisk", They took thousands of illegal guns from the criminals.

I think you are desperately trying to pin our horrid murder rate on anything OTHER than the fact we have too many guns.
Point is, other countries have gang problems and minority problems. They don't have our murder rates because they don't have the guns.

Their criminals can get guns as easily as ours can...as we saw in france with the 3 terrorists and the shooting a week later in Marseilles and then the shooting in belgium, denmark and sweden......they just don't do it even though they have access to guns.....

That's just a good argument to take ALL guns away from private citizens. Thanks. Nice to have you on board.
You might want to point out the language in the Constitution that would enable congress to enact such legislation.
