Either B-52s or R.E.M.(probably both or someone else--too drunk to recall)

A lot of groups and individuals. I'm trying to recall names but I tend to jump genres and I know I forgotten a lot of people. I've seen a lot of concerts and staged performances in my 20s and 30s. Atlanta had a lot of music artists during the 90s.

Looks like you did a 1980's run of concerts really good group of bands..

Robert Hazard and the Heroes, Hooters, The Vels, Bunnydrums,(uk's) Stranglers, Vandals,
HENRY ROLLINS (MET), Pretty Poison, Fleshtones(Met), Circle Jerks (met), Psychedelic Furs, Translators, Ministry,
Alien Sex Fiend, Tones on Tail (love and rockets), Killing Joke, This Mortal Coil,
Sisters of Mercy, Gun Club,
Flock of Seaguls, Adam and The Ants,
New Order, Shriekback,
blues artist Sonny Rhodes (Met),
Dead Milkmen (Met), and "X".
Oh and I met Michael “ Spider ” Sanders the drummer for the very first black punk band called Pure Hell, although his party did not end well.

Wish I would have seen;
Joe Jackson, Graham Parker, Visage,
Gary Numan,
Siouxsie & the Banshees, Gang of Four,
Ian Hunter, 999, Agent Orange, Virgin Prunes, or the
Dead Kennedys.

Are these bands from the 1980's? What kind of music did they play. I have never heard of any of them...except Hooters. But that might be something else..lol..
.

Yes late 70's early 80's alternative.
Robert Hazard was the one who wrote
Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
Mainly a Philly phenom not well known outside the NE part of the Country.
Dead Milkmen were on MTV a lot with "Bitchen Camaro" & "Punk Rock Girl" (my friend was the focus Punk Girl with the Helicopter Hairdoo).
Ian Hunter Did "Cleveland Rocks" used for the Drew Carrey Show Intro Song.

I remember MTV. Didn't it used to be about music?

you people make me feel so young ;)

LOL...ahhhh we still would have drank each other under the table..lol

.
I haven't ever gone under the table. My head might have hit the top a few times but... lol

Most of my friends were guys back then, my parents died early so they put their wings over me like brothers. I was the 1st female in an all male resturant, so I had a lot of brothers. We still keep in touch, a couple died
I used to drink most of them under the table..lol..
I don't drink anymore so I am a lightweight.

I have always been able to drink nonstop. I could drink a gallon of liquor and be fine until I stop moving. If I stop moving, I am KO'd lol
But I don't drink like that anymore. I enjoy a few beers grilling out or if we are having a get together. If me and the wife go out, I might have a couple shots but that's it. Getting drunk lost its enjoyment when I started suffering two day long hangovers lol

Herman's Hermits
Simon & Garfunkel in the 60's and again during their reunion tour in the 80's.
The Who
Eric Clapton
Roger Waters
Neil Young

I'm pretty laid back and was usually too broke to get concert tickets.

Groups I've seen:

David Lee Roth.

When I saw Cheap Trick, my ears were still ringing the next day.

The absolute best live concert I ever saw was The J. Giels Band. It was before Freeze Frame and those hit songs they had. "Cruising for a Love", "Wammer Jammer", their live album "Full House" is what it was like then.

I agree, I stopped drinking almost 10 years ago..I do not miss those hang overs..
My husband doesn't drink anymore either..
Nothing is worse that a old lady all sloppy drink and acting like a young chick..

Simon & Garfunkel in the 60's and again during their reunion tour in the 80's.
The Who
Eric Clapton
Roger Waters
Neil Young

That is a good lineup of concerts you got to see as a broke youngin...Differently a 60's lineup.. My older sister went to see Herman Hermits...good 60's band.

.

David Lee Roth.

Damn that must have been a good concert, those guy were wild..lol

Eddie is such a good guitar player, I still blare my radio to those songs.

David Lee Roth can't even kick his legs up in the air anymore with their recent reunion.
Now they all probably order hot milk after a concert..lol.....

.

Boy, that's asking a lot form an old dude. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Doors, Hendrix, The Who (many, many, many times), Pink Floyd with and without Syd, Mike Oldfield, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles with and without Joe Walsh, The Guess Who, The Hollies, Mama's and the Papa's (I actually dated MP for a bit), Fleetwood Mac before and with Buckingham/Nicks, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Traffic, James Gang, David Bowie, SRV, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Kansas, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, and Annie Lennox, off the top of my head.

The Group ( Maroon 5 ) Adam Levine belong to... If you do not know who he is then you might have seen him on The Voice as one of the Judges that also has Blake Shelton on it...

Saw them at Rodeo Houston in the mid-2000's. Saw BTO many years before that...
