I have had family members who are government employees who have had a lot of vacation time, it's just one of those perks if you work for the Government. Why do you think I tried so hard to land a teaching job

Not to be technical or anything, but military members get way better vacation time than a president. Why do I say that? Because, although you can be recalled back from leave, those instances are rare, and when a military person is on leave, the last thing they have to think about is their job.

The president on the other hand? Yeah, while it may be termed "vacation", it's not really, as the president has a whole staff following him around just in case something happens and he needs to be notified. Not only can a president be pulled off of vacation, but they have a staff following them around that can put them back to work immediately.

And, yeah, as another poster said, rank DOES have it's privileges.
