I have made no such claim as to what congress was the worst. I picked that first two years of the Clinton presidency as an illustration of a bad congress because even some on YOUR side rejected all the corruption, non responsiveness, and self-serving irresponsibility and helped us toss them out of power.

The Democrats simply went drunk with power after 12 years of the Reagan and Bush 41 administrations and they blew it. So did the GOP when they took the majority in both houses PLUS a Republican president for the first time in a long long time. Now you have the Democrats back in power and drunk with that power along with a highly controversial Democrat President, and we can only hope that situation will also be short lived. There is plenty of blame to go around, and every Congress has had its successes and every Congress has done stuff they probably shouldn't have done and/or overlooked stuff they shouldn't have overlooked.

So we now have a President who actually heard the people's anguish, let them know that he did, and stated an agenda that they had been hungry to hear for decades. And he was elected against all odds and predictions, and he was elected with enough margin that there were no challenges to his victory. And he has not disappointed as he has been keeping campaign promises like no president in my quite long memory has done.

And the results have been pretty remarkable so far. MSN Money just announced that the stock market had its best opening week since 2006. Business confidence is way up. Consumer confidence is way up. People are going back to work and millions will be able to work full time with full benefits with a single job again.

I just hope and pray that those who are focused on President Trump's agenda, and who are mostly ignoring all the efforts of the left to destroy him, will not become weary. We need to keep reporting the good news because a dishonest MSM will not. And we need to keep the pressure on a feckless, self-serving permanent political class in Congress to get on board and stop dragging their feet as they all hope to preserve the status quo that most honorable people hate and reject as what America is supposed to be.
