When is enough finally enough?

I hear ya Foxfyre. In the end, absolute power really does corrupt absolutely. There are no Checks & Balances on this Socialist Nightmare at this point. We will only drift closer & closer to becoming a Third World Banana Republic until this changes. Hang in there.
Yet we came out of Obama’s 8 years and handed trump a good economy. Clinton handed bush a good economy too

Oh yeah the economy was just great. Slowest growth coming out of a recession EVER. More people of work force age out of the work force since the worst of the Carter economy creating a false unemployment figure. More people on food stamps than ever. Loss of family wealth. More people without basic benefits due to part times hours triggered mostly by Obamacare than we have probably ever seen. More college graduates living in their parent's basement and government extension of benefits to 'children' in their mid 20s that any other generation would have expected to be out on their own and earning their own way.

So we now have a President who actually heard the people's anguish, let them know that he did, and stated an agenda that they had been hungry to hear for decades. And he was elected against all odds and predictions, and he was elected with enough margin that there were no challenges to his victory. And he has not disappointed as he has been keeping campaign promises like no president in my quite long memory has done.

And the results have been pretty remarkable so far. MSN Money just announced that the stock market had its best opening week since 2006. Business confidence is way up. Consumer confidence is way up. People are going back to work and millions will be able to work full time with full benefits with a single job again.

I just hope and pray that those who are focused on President Trump's agenda, and who are mostly ignoring all the efforts of the left to destroy him, will not become weary. We need to keep reporting the good news because a dishonest MSM will not. And we need to keep the pressure on a feckless, self-serving permanent political class in Congress to get on board and stop dragging their feet as they all hope to preserve the status quo that most honorable people hate and reject as what America is supposed to be.

Stop with that right wing bullshit montra. You forget it was the greatest recession since the great Depression fool.

You guys put us in a ditch and complain how long it took for us to get you out of the fucking ditch?

Your opinion is noted. It's wrong. But it's noted.

No matter how well Obama did you were going to say it wasn't good enough. But keep in mind you said Bush did a good job and we should continue on that road by electing McCain. Right?

Obama’s Final Jobs Report Marks 75 Consecutive Months of Growth

the December jobs report concludes a year of steady economic growth: For most of the year, the unemployment rate has been hovering just under 5 percent, the lowest levels since 2007. Although the pace of employment growth in 2016 slowed compared to 2014 and 2015—the height of the economic recovery—last year’s numbers put outgoing President Barack Obama ahead of George W. Bush (but behind Bill Clinton) when it comes to job creation.

Analysis | 19 times Trump called jobs numbers ‘fake’ before they made him look good

Try again. A part time job with McDonalds counts as a job. But now we are talking real, permanent, jobs. Three of my neighbors who had been working multiple jobs without benefits are now back full time with full benefits with their primary employers. Those employers had to reduce hours and benefits to escape the horrendous regulations and mandates of the Obama administration. Those mandates and regulations have now been lifted.

Trump-O-Meter: Tracking Trump's Campaign Promises

When you can use a site that isn't pretty much 100% Trump negative, please post it. (I'll refer you to my thread on Fake News.) Otherwise have a nice day.
That would be all the media in the world except the GOP propaganda machine, Dupe.

As I read this short piece tonight, all the broken promises, disappoinments, boondoggles, and downright lies and hypocrisy of the last two decades seemed to flash before my eyes.

How much of this kind of dishonesty will we accept from our government before we say enough is enough? How much hypocrisy and/or duplicity is tolerable from our elected leaders?

Is there no alternative to accepting the bad with the good? If not, what should we do about it?

Pelosi Breaks Pledge to Put Final Health Care Bill Online for 72 Hours Before Vote

Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD that the speaker will not allow the final language of the health care to be posted online for 72 hours before bringing the bill to a vote on the House floor, despite her September 24 statement that she was "absolutely" committed to doing so.

House members are still negotiating important issues in the bill--whether it will provide taxpayer-funding for abortions, for example. Pelosi is pushing for a Saturday House vote, and a number of big changes will be introduced, likely less than 24 hours before the vote takes place (if in fact it does). The Rules Committee hasn't yet released its resolution, or rule, that must be passed before the bill can move from committee to the floor. The rule will set the terms of debate and determine what amendments are in order.

It seems likely that the rule will allow very few, if any, up-or-down votes on amendments on the House floor. Rather, the rule will include a series of amendments that will all be adopted at once if the rule passes.

On September 24, Speaker Nancy Pelosi told THE WEEKLY STANDARD that she was "absolutely" committed to putting the text of the final House bill online for 72 hours before the House votes:

TWS: Madam Speaker, do you support the measure to put the final House bill online for 72 hours before it's voted on at the very end?

PELOSI: Absolutely. Without question.

But tonight, when asked if Speaker Pelosi will leave the bill online for 72 hours after we see what's in the rule, Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly replied in an email: "No; [the] pledge was to have manager’s amendment online for 72 hours, and we will do that."

Apparently Pelosi's agreement to leave the "final" bill online "at the very end" of the process wasn't such a straightforward pledge.

So you ignore the daily lies from Trump & the BS from Congress go back 8 years to find something Pelosi said? The bill was online & was discussed for months.

What $1.5 trillion stimulus bill was that?

Seriously? It's been in all the papers!

The tax "reform" bill which no one read. It is supposed to stimulate the economy, and it only puts us another $1.5 trillion in the hole. Woo hoo!

I bet you don't even know how many pages it is.

1097. Of which the Republicans in Congress read the first three.

President Obama's stimulus bill put us deeper in the hole $1+ trillion the first year it was passed. The GOP tax reform is theorized to cost a bit over $1 trillion over the NEXT TEN YEARS or roughly $100 billion per year. And I will be hugely surprised if that prediction turns out to be accurate. At any rate, if it does not produce as advertised, all the Congress has to do is fix it. Congress cannot unspend money it has already spent.

I like how you magically erased half a trillion dollars.

Sorry, bub. It's $1.5 trillion deeper in the hole we go.

Also, Obama's stimulus was not all spent in the first year.

Nice try.

I notice you are not outraged at the blatant hypocrisy, and are instead attempting to argue, "Well, they are only a little pregnant with hypocrisy."

So debt is good now.

Stimulus spending is good.

Passing a bill to find out what is in it is doubleplusgood.

War is Peace.

Ignorance is Strength.

Freedom is Slavery.

Check Obama's deficits and spending for each year he was in office compared to George W. Bush's deficits and spending for each year he was in office. And very quickly, case closed and my argument is confirmed.

As for how much the tax bill will add to the deficit, nobody is talking about that since it was passed and the estimates were all over the map prior to the final draft. Again if it produces unacceptable deficits, the Congress can quite easily fix that. Congress cannot fix what it has already spent.

Deficits went steadily down during Obama's tenure. Deficits went steadily up during Bush.

The last time Republicans owned all three branches of the federal government, they spent like drunken sailors in a whorehouse.

They even created an all new trillion dollar medical entitlement program, WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT!

At least Obama attempted to enact some taxes to pay for HIS trillion dollar medical entitlement program.

Now that they are back in total power, the GOP has gone right back to spending bigly, right out of the gate.

Only a complete tard partisan hack fails to see Republicans like spending as much as Democrats do.

The National debt is created by accumulated deficits.

Obama had one year in which his smallest deficit was barely lower than Bush's highest deficit.

President Bush's administration added roughly 5.8 trillion to the national debt. That was unacceptable and is one of the largest reasons why he lost the Senate and the House to the Democrats in the 2006 election. But his 2007 deficit was a little over $200 billion and he was on track to erase the deficit if the housing bubble had not burst in 2008. Even so he would have had a relatively small deficit that year if Congress had not passed TARP adding more than $400 billion to the deficit that year.

President Obama's administration added roughly 9.3 trillion to the national debt--more than 1 trillion a year average deficits--with almost nothing to show for it--which is one of the largest reasons why the Republicans have made such great gains at all levels of government over the last several years. Even the Democrats had to admit that the deficit would skyrocket when he was safely out of office but the last and worst part of Obamacare would fully kick in.

$100 billion or even $150 billion per year compared with that is a drop in the bucket compared to all that, but unless the Democrats are successful in stopping him, I am pretty sure President Trump is pretty confident that his policies won't create any additional deficit at all. His ultimate goal is a balanced budget. That was never President Obama's goal.

You call me hypocrite. I call me right about that.

When Obama took office we were in the mist of the worsat recession in 80 years with the economy shrinking at a rate over 6%, and loosing 800,000 jobs a month.

We needed a stimulus bill. Even your pathetic recession causing party knew that.

The 787 billion dollar bill, later revised to about 850 billion) Not a trillion

The Bill was 38% tax cuts (for working Americans) and help for those in need due to the recession and States. They spent on things like infrastructure.

We are not in a recession. Handing money to wealthy people & well off corporation does nothing to create jobs.

That is the fucking difference.

You blame Obama for deficits created by the Bush recession.

The CBO said the ACA was fully funded Jackass. No one said the ACA iit until Republicans changed it would add to the debt

The Republicans make changes - it's their doing now.

You are the typical Trump slurping, uninformed Moron.

Lefties condemn tax cuts and claim to worry about the "national debt" but at the same time they seem to agree that government is the problem and not the solution. Maybe the solution is to "drain the swamp" and support the Trump agenda.

Bush inherited a recession..
And a surplus and peace. Did Clinton really have three consecutive bad months. Link?

I hope and pray that those people get turned off to the political process just like Obama supporters didn't show up in 2010.

You can't think this year went well for Trump. Any moron could have achieved what he achieved. Want the stock market to go up? Give corporations huge tax give aways that will add to the debt.

Well the fact is nobody did achieve it until Trump got into office. Obama had eight years to achieve it and didn't.
Because it wasn’t worth it. Congrats on the temporary surge. Was it worth the tax breaks you just gave the rich.

Lefties condemn tax cuts and claim to worry about the "national debt" but at the same time they seem to agree that government is the problem and not the solution. Maybe the solution is to "drain the swamp" and support the Trump agenda.
No one agreed government is the problem but asswipes like you.

Please check the dates on the posts and you won't sound so erratic and irresponsible in your post.

Do you know how many pages the recent GOP $1.5 trillion stimulus bill was?

Can you smell the stench of hypocrisy? I sure can!

Your point you keep repeating is noted. But no matter how many you and others repeat it, it won't be true.
