There is only one way to create a healthy economy and that is to pay your workforce well enough so they can spend and acquire credit. How did we get there after the industrial revolution?...this is how:

Weekends
All Breaks at Work, including your Lunch Breaks
Paid Vacation
FMLA
Sick Leave
Social Security
Minimum Wage
Civil Rights Act/Title VII (Prohibits Employer Discrimination)
8-Hour Work Day
Overtime Pay
Child Labor Laws
Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA)
40 Hour Work Week
Worker's Compensation (Worker's Comp)
Unemployment Insurance
Pensions
Workplace Safety Standards and Regulations
Employer Health Care Insurance
Collective Bargaining Rights for Employees
Wrongful Termination Laws
Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
Whistle blower Protection Laws
Employee Polygraph Protect Act (Prohibits Employer from using a lie detector test on an employee)
Veteran's Employment and Training Services (VETS)
Compensation increases and Evaluations (Raises)
Sexual Harassment Laws
Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)
Holiday Pay
Employer Dental, Life, and Vision Insurance
Privacy Rights
Pregnancy and Parental Leave
Military Leave
The Right to Strike
Public Education for Children
Equal Pay Acts of 1963 & 2011 (Requires employers pay men and women equally for the same amount of work)
Laws Ending Sweatshops in the United States

Illegal aliens take jobs for much, much less wages. Work longer hours with no overtime, no bennies, no retirement, no days off, no safety protections and get treated however the employer wants to. What does that do to all of the benefits the workers of the industrial revolution and unions got the working class and what does that do to our economy? All of our immigration laws were there to protect our economy and our people.

According to corporate heads, the US population lacks the high degree of knowledge and skills to find geniuses, and thus you have the HB-1 visa..The low skill jobs are being done by the lowest bidder...period..

and you know what?...that is the point I try to make every time too. There were lots of people with lots of money but then greed came in along with the new generation of greed and teaching that greed to the next generation.

All the while someone that is highly intelligent from the US has a hard time establishing themselves because of the tax incentives not associated with their employment..

Who allowed that to happen?

legislatures in states and at the federal level....

Slap stiff taxes and tariffs on products and profits made overseas until our companies bring those jobs back here.
So our prices may see an increase at the cash register, but if it gets us closer to full employment it is worth it.

Crashing our own economy is not a wise economic plan.
