Silly asshole. This is a problem that transcends liberal or conservative labels. It is as 2nd states, a set of mind by police that has become us against them, them being the public in general. A set of mind that uses weapons of war against our own people. We saw this on both sides in the Bundy affair. It is time to re-evaluate our mind sets, and who should have such weapons.

Interesting take, but from a singular position perhaps! Some folks might think the genesis of this division might have been the creation of second-class citizenship in this Nation related to antebellum racial animus. Those same folks might see the issues you noted as part of the results/responses for redirection of that ongoing antagonism to boost those in the lower status to a higher one of equality. There has been a growing impasse between the two major factions in a political fight, which actually cycles back to the same conundrum facing the Nation after the Civil War.

Hey, just sayin' there might be some history and causality which has driven what you bring up which is actually a political response. It may well have been an inflated response over the decades, but the resistance to maintain the status quo as has increased also in counter response as the political seasons changed.

So what's wrong with REAL equality to eradicate the burden of the welfare state for everyone, while ending the practice of creating racial division, which results in the demeaning stigmatization of second-class citizenship?
