Evidence that society is slowly becoming more stupid can be found in what the citizens find acceptable in the way of government. As we develop into a nation of welfare leeches, we learn collectively that one does not really have to work for a living, therefore does not need to study hard to get to the front of the line. In today's liberal-dominated academic world, the drive is to produce an ever-growing mass of easily manipulated, complacent, do-nothing citizens that depend on the government for subsistence and whatever additional freebies can be voted for. The average citizen does not realize that when the critical mass is reached (that which cannot be supported by 100% taxation of those productive citizens), the system is doomed to failure.

If more people were smart enough to realize that history has proved this point over and over already, we'd be on our way to improving our way of life instead of drifting toward total collapse. It is the liberal driving force that makes us more stupid over the long haul.
