Was Omar Mateen Gay? Former Classmate & Others Say He Was

That much rage could only come from a man who lived feeling hideous shame for his own true God-given nature.

Both radical/strict Islam and American Evangelical Christianity use a twisted dark demented form of their own scripture to justify homophobia, gay-hate, and anti-gay word, deeds.

Bottom line, these people feel ashamed of their own homosexual desires or fantasies. They are insecure about their sexuality and live afraid, on some level, of homosexuals. Here are some examples:

**The macho man who calls gay men "fags", trying to forget his own adolescent experimentation.

**The "Christian" mom who catches her young son "sword fighting" with a playmate, shames him, beats him, puts the fear of God (her twisted version) in him because she is so afraid that his normal behavior means he is gay.

**The anti-gay "Christian" preacher who has a secret life with male prostitutes.

**The girl or woman who feels guilty getting turned when looking at a bikini ad. Her guilt becomes fear that there is something wrong or bad about her. She must "pray away the gay." Getting turned on by the female form doesn't make you a lesbian--maybe slightly bisexual.

What we need to be teaching children, at the appropriate age, is that sexual orientation is sliding scale and we all are born somewhere on the spectrum that goes from Heterosexual.... to Homosexual with Bisexual and Asexual in the middle. Bisexuals can live perfectly normal happy lives with either sex. Also there are transitional times in our lives when a homosexual desire or thought may manifest in an otherwise heterosexual brain. Pre-puberty for example.

However, for a homosexual trying to live as a heterosexual, life is hell, filled with self-loathing that often manifests as rage. The Orlando gunman was know as a woman hater, abusive husband, boyfriend. He trolled gay clubs in secret. He had a horrible self-image and profound feelings of inferiority. He tried to become a cop, a corrections officer, and was kicked out. He grew up in a culture that puts a high value on male success and achievement and all he could amount to was a security guard. He was loser. His rage needed a name, a reason, an insane twisted belief system to justify itself, because to admit he hated himself for being a homosexual loser who never amounted to anything was unthinkable--it was easier to take his fathers religion to some extreme hateful place and turn his rage on those like him.

Isis never heard of this guy before last week. No one had ever heard of him. He was unremarkable, below average person, living in a self-made hell that came to boil. He had to do something to distinguish himself, be noticed, be someone who gets on TV. And, he had to prove he was not gay to himself and the world.

Although he succeeded at getting people to notice him, he failed at proving he was not gay.

He was a terrorist. Who cares if he was gay? He was an angry loser, and he found a good "club" to join where he would fit right in. He wasn't mentally ill, either--he was a mean s.o.b. No excuse for him.

hazlnut, only two people, a fellow student in a police course, and his ex, claimed he might have the tendencies, when a reporter suggested such...

He had patience, enough to know to surveil his targets, get them to see him as a patron on occassion, to fit in with his targets, before attacking. Just as those that perpetrated 9/11 did. What was it 7 years in the making?

Orlando nightclub shooting: Fire set at gunman's mosque
Mon, 12 Sep 2016 - Florida officials say a person was filmed setting fire to the mosque that was attended by Omar Mateen, the worst mass shooter in modern US history.
Police are investigating a fire at the mosque that was attended by the Orlando nightclub gunman who killed 49 people. Surveillance cameras show a suspect approaching the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce moments before Monday morning's blaze, fire officials said. The fire may have been timed to coincide with the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha and the anniversary of 9/11. Omar Mateen committed the worst mass shooting in modern American history in June when he opened fire in Pulse. He was killed by police after taking hostages and declaring his allegiance to the Islamic State group.

The mosque blaze was so severe that it burned a hole 10ft-by-10ft (3-by-3m) in the roof of the mosque's main room. Someone was filmed "just moments before a flash is seen and the fire starts," the St Lucie County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook. "A fire at any place of worship is alarming, regardless of the circumstances," it added. A spokesman for the sheriff's office, Major David Thompson, said: "This is a horrible tragedy. Not only for the Islamic Center, but for our community".

Fire trucks at the mosque

The arsonist "is terrorising our community because we don't know where he is at and we don't know what he is capable of doing", said Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, a Florida spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "For this to happen to us on the morning of our biggest celebration of the year has made everyone saddened and scared, but our community is bigger than a building," Mr Amr Ruiz said. "We are stronger than that."

Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating, including the FBI. The Islamic Center of Fort Pierce has experienced other trouble in recent months. A few weeks after the nightclub shooting, a man was badly beaten outside the mosque. Motorists frequently stop to shout abuse at worshippers, including the driver of a truck who stopped to hurl insults earlier that same day, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations. In addition to Omar Mateen, the mosque was also visited by Moner Mohammad Abu Salha, who became the first American to commit a suicide bombing attack in Syria.
