Was FDR the best President in American history?

or how does he rank?

He sold out Eastern Europe and Nationalist China. He violated the Constitution by creating Social Security and he is the reason now days so many think it is fine and dandy to ignore the Constitution or lie about it.

He ranks pretty damn low.

By the way he EXTENDED the Great Depression with his antics.

No better evidence exists that you are a fake "Goldwater libertarian", as Barry ran hard against the expansion of those Fabian socialist programs....Tovarich.

Post saved.

Save this one...I have told you numerous times I am a JFK liberal and a Goldwater libertarian...I am NOT a Goldwater conservative. There are issues other than economics that I agree with Goldwater on...privacy, individual choice, separation of church & state, human decency...

You are only able to frame life in monolithic terms...you are a Norquist un-libertarian.

Barry Goldwater would have never condoned the current despot authoritarian GOP. There are responsible ways to decrease the size of government without destroying the citizenry.

Barry Goldwater had a conscience...it is paramount to being human...you and Grover are scum

Fake.

Goldwater stood four square against the LBJ "Great Society" socialistic welfare state and, by extension, the FDR socialistic welfare state.

That the current state of the GOP is that of squishy, turd polishing, weasel neocons is nonwithstanding your disingenuous fakery.

Ru Paul is a better cross dresser than you.

FDR is the reason we are going bust. Ponzi schemes like Social Security always go broke eventually.....

WRONG...Russia had their failed 'revolution', we are living in ours.; the Reagan revolution destroyed this country.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem or are you the ultimate one i$$ue Jethro? The current state of the GOP has everything to do with it. Goldwater advocated working responsibly toward smaller government, cognizant of the fact there are two parties, at least two sides to every issue and there are always human considerations to consider as part of the equation of any policy. Goldwater measured in human capital, he was not a cheerleader for drowning people.

Here's your word for the day...conscience...grow one...

I have no comprehension problems....And you're still a fake.

I've yet to meet the real libertarian who didn't consider FDR as anything more than the warmongering authoritarian socialist despot he was.

Give it up, Jethro.

You go way, WAY beyond comprehension problems. You really have a HUGE cognitive problem or a massive ego disorder. You are only capable of 'framing' MY beliefs; beliefs that are personal to me and prioritized by ME, within ONLY you're narrow monolithic set of prioritie$.

There is only ONE type of libertarian in your little pea brain mind...YOU.

I really wasn't kidding about your word for the day...

True, that. And if I hadn't just repped ya, I'd have repped ya now.

There's truth in the axiom...Robins and Blue Jays don't nest together...

Translation...DUD...e & Cali Girl...two pea brains in a pod...:lol::lol::lol:

And both a damned sight smarter than you. I can understand your envy of our wit and wisdom. It must be annoying for ya.

All I see you post on this board is exactly what you criticize and claim to distain...

I've seen mud puddles deeper than you...

FDR is easily the best president of the last 100 years. Overall, I would have him in the top three

1. Lincoln
2. Washington
3. FDR

I would rank FDR at the bottom with Wilson and Lincoln, I would love to dig them up just to stomp their skeletons into a fine powdery substance I detest them so much.

or how does he rank?

FDR was the absolute best president the US has ever had. He is likely to retain that position for all time. Because of FDR, the US government became the guarantor of the general welfare as the Founders intended. FDR made the Constitution work.

Isn't it just fashionable to hate Lincoln nowadays? I mean, c'mon...he freed the slaves, saved the Union and died for his Country. It was later generations that have chipped away States Rights: Wilson, Kennedy, LBJ, Carter. Then we have Obama who is using a buzz saw.

Reagan keynoted Goldwater's '64 convention, distrusted both Nixon and the Bushies, and ran against east coast neocon tool Gerry Ford....Fake.
Point of order! Ford was from Michigan, a long walk to the east coast beaches.

Round these parts, we call it the midwest.

Not to mention that Gerald Ford wasn't a neocon. ;)

One of the greatest tragedies of the past 100 years (neo conservatism....if one can call it conservative)

Agreed, the Straussian ideology that forms a large part of the basis for what we know as neo conservatism has little to no conservative aspects about it, it's just another form of American Progressivism that found fertile soil in the Republican Party to advanced their warped ideology.

The neocons have a lot more in common with FDR and Wilson than they do with Goldwater or Reagan from an ideology standpoint.
