How his wiener does not work and the viagra has run out, and he wants to discuss how he would love to beat your ass in hand to hand combat. This in turn would turn him on as he would FINALLY be able to get it up. Then he would try and make you his butt pirate all the while claiming the UK is superior to the US.

I ask you a serious question using facts & evidence to support my argument, & this is all you're able to come back with!?! Honestly its not a trick question there is actually reasons for the US to be seen better then other nations lets try the Marshal plan or saving S. Korea. But intead you come up with some crappy insults which are rubbish cusses any how. How pathectic do you feel! lol.

Bryson, I ask again... what exactly do you wish to discuss here?

There are many Americans more than willing to discuss subjects with you, comparing our two countries.

Your tone was rather inflammatory & you received a few inflammatory replies.

I gave you a respectful response, and you received a few other respectful responses from other members.

The ball is in your court.

Obviously the metaphor to England's illustrious career has eluded you...Kind of hard to compare the two when your own house is stacked with plate glass. And you have yet to answer anyones reply. How typically onesided of you, loser.

If we took every Internet Forum in existance, I'd bet Americans have WAY more posts than the British.

LOL. We win! We have way more time to waste than the British!

Hi, I haven't answered anyone's reply as I have been at work all day! If this makes me onesided or a loser that's debatable. Personally I think that message was opportunistic rubbish after I injured your ego earlier. Quite strange to think you're criticising me for being at work when you're the one was spouting out bollocks earlier:

Oh the pain!! lol. :rotflmao: Sorry to go on but that was a truely awful cuss.

I see what you mean on missing the metaphor but I don't think it would of been very clear to anyone really. Rereading it I still stand by earlier comments of it not being funny, it doesn't relate to any events or happenings.

Hi, I just want to know why the USA is so overtly patriotic compared to any other nation it seems, my point was that the UK & others did & continue to have reasons to be proud but aren't so blindly patriotic. It appears from a international stand point excesasice with the pledge of allegiance, flags everywhere & this ingrained blind patriotism of all things American. It was my intention to find out where this belief stemed from. I had not aimed to offend anyone but its very inflammatory to see this arrogance from so many Americans saying how bloomin' great their country is all the time without having seen other nations. A genralisation yes but is often true.
While in actal fact according to a recent "quality of life" assessment both USA & the UK are outside the top 10! I personally would concede this to be true for both of our nations.

1 Ireland
2 Switzerland
3 Norway
4 Luxembourg
5 Sweden
6 Australia
7 Iceland
8 Italy
9 Denmark
10 Spain

N.B. All but one is in Europe, strange to think Canada didn't make it!

That is based on the opinion of somebody asking the question on the quality of life. Quality is not something that you can hold in your hand and measure. I propose that for the US at least people are less likely to say they are satisfied with their current level. It is part of our culture to always strive to improve one's position rather than to find a level and stay there. Because of the differences in culture the "quality of life" questions do not apply the same.

I would think it would be much the same in the UK.

I do not concede that those in Sweden have a better life than I, personally I would rather live here thank you very much.

Hi, I would agree with "no1tovote4" on his points on his quality of life. Generally its accepted that the British are more contented than the Americans but less so than the Europeans, just with most things between Europe & America we're the middle ground. Not always a good thing! I would personally prefer Canada or Austaraillia who seem to have the best of both of our nations.

Why would you like Canada? Are you a frenchy lover? Or maybe you dont mind Sharia law taking over?

By the way...It takes a whole shit lot more to hurt me. And you havent even BEGUN to see cussing...YET.

Ya know I went to Canada this summer on a fishing trip. I thought that stereotype of Canadians saying "eh" after everything was just a joke, but they really do it. It's funny.

You're wrong about Commies believing all men are equal.

Human rights & equal rights have absolutely nothing to do with Communism.

I see the stretch you're trying to make, but you're completely off base.
Sry, he is right. These are some ideas of communism. Obviously they were hardly used/implemented in so called communist countries.

Iran is called islamic republic, yet i do not think they an actul republic, do not you?

I think you are generalizing here. Perhapse in your eyes it is overly patriotic based on the system of values and believes you growup with. I do not think it is. I have been in number of countries outside of us and everywhere i seen flags, patriotic songs, pledges.. it is not that different from us. Try telling french they "surrender monkeys" and see how fast you can run or if that person will talk to you again.

Hi, I'm only replying to this post as the rest make valid points. Fist you stupid cock the only bit of Canada that is French is Quebec, the bit in the corner! There are more Mexicans in America than French in Canada so by your crappy logic all American patriots are Mexican lovers which judging by the prejudice towards them is rubbish.
Secondly Canada has for most of its life been British so perhaps thats a more realisitic reason for me liking the nation, not to mention their brilliant living standards & underpopulated country. Besides England has hated France a whole lot longer than you & don't forget the USA has France to thank for their independence with their support durring the war of independence & Louissiana purchase etc.
And no I haven't started cussing you for that would make me a hypocrite.

Bite my red, white, and blue @$$. I don't know what he said to you to set you off, but let's go over this. First off, Canada's too frickin cold. I'd like to wear shorts for more than 2 days a year. Second, being British does not make you cool. Just look at how dumb Madonna looks now that she's British. Brilliant living standards is a fallacy. Our living standards, on average, are better here in the U.S. because our average income, counting exchange rate, is higher. Britain's hated France longer than either U.S. or Canada's been around, and it's because it's sooooo easy. We only got them in on our war cause we wanted a little more manpower and we knew they hated England enough to help us...then we SHAFTED them with the peace treaty. The Purchase was also us scamming the French. $.03/acre is quite a take.

Now, if your country is so great, why don't you list off its achievements? You know, the ones in the history books. What's that? There aren't very many? Oh, you must be sad. My American History book was one of the thickest things I ever carried around. :(

Ok, You have meade a few mistakes here, granted some of what you say may be true. I would never claim that just because I'm British that means I'm cool. Every nation including the UK has a wide diverse society where a fraction could be cool, & then another intelligent etc. Brits are not a superior race & are just the same as any other but more fortunate then some in regard to Education etc. & less then others.
While for average income being higher means nothing, billionaires such as Bill Gates etc. combined will push this average up significally however will not do the same for living standards. A more accurate figure is life expectancy as billionaires such as Bill Gates who are millions of times wealthier do not live millions of years longer. This way one can see a more accurate image of a nation. If you look at the following site http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2102rank.html You can see all the wealthy small nations are at the top & you can see the UK is higher admitidly still quite a way down the list.

From your last comment it appears that aren't very intelligent to be blunt. First of all the countries of the UK, British Isles have been existance for thousands of years way before Roman times with the Bronze age etc. While the USA has only existed for a few hundred years so the idea that your History is larger is ridiculous! And what I find to be really funny is that you say it hasn't any acheivements! We created Canada, Austraillia & New Zealand as new nations & more importantly USA!?! So you've really shot yourself in the foot there, I would of thought that to be one of the greatest acheivements of all time in your book.

Here's a little quote for you:

The United Kingdom has produced many great scientists and engineers including Isaac Newton, James Clerk Maxwell, James Watt, Charles Darwin, and Isambard Kingdom Brunel. A great number of world-changing inventions or discoveries were made by British people, including: Michael Faraday, Frank Whittle, Charles Babbage, Robert Baden-Powell, Alexander Fleming, John Logie Baird, William Caxton, Richard Trevithick, Humphry Davy, Robert Watson-Watt, Henry Bessemer, Tim Berners-Lee and others

And another:

The British Isles have a rich history going back thousands of years.

And another:

# Britain has won 46 Nobel prizes in the last 50 years, including three last year (2003).

# British science has been responsible for breakthroughs such as in-vitro fertilisation, DNA fingerprinting, discovering the ozone hole, and producing Dolly the sheep, the world’s first cloned mammal.

# The UK is second only to the US in terms of the volume and influence of its scientific publications. And on productivity and citations per researcher, British science scores more highly than any other G8 nation. - Don't forget your population is 6 times larger!

# 15 of the world’s top 75 medicines on the market today were discovered and developed in Britain; and over 60 per cent of the biotechnology drugs in late-stage clinical trials in Europe are produced by British companies.

If you would like me to list more quotes & figures please say but I think I have made my point.

Here's a great American acheivement of the Americans who captured the enigma code in WW2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/286134.stm

Australia rocks, but Canada? It's just fricking cold. The best thing about Canada was the hockey, but we have taken that one over, only two NHL teams remain in Canada.
