One quarter of the worlds population is Muslim. Here in the US, the Muslim community is well established, has high employment levels and a crime rate well below other ethnic groups including whites.
To target otherwise law-abiding citizens because a numerically small percentage of them are involved in anti-US activities is against our principles.
Believe it or not, gangs in the US are a much bigger threat to the average American than muslim terrorists yet we pay much more money to fight terrorism than we do to fight gangs

Having spent a considerable amount of time (close to a decade) in New Orleans and having family in Baton Rouge, I can say that most Louisianans are embarrassed by Duke (who used to wear a Nazi uniform around campus as an undergrad).

India is mainly Hindu and has by far the largest number of honor killing.

Some Islamic countries have honor killings.

But neither, Christianity, Hinduism, or Islam, include honor killings as part of their theology or doctrine.

Honor killings, no matter which country, are a cultural practice and have zero to do with religion.
