U.S. Economy Added 164,000 New Jobs in July; Nominal Average Wages Increased 3.2 Percent Over the Past 12 Months | The White House

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its monthly Employment Situation Report, showcasing robust employment and an acceleration in wage growth. Total nonfarm payroll employment in July increased by 164,000 jobs, in line with market expectations (165,000). Including revisions for the months of May and June, the average pace of job growth has been a vigorous 187,000 jobs per month over the past year and 165,000 jobs so far in 2019, which is higher than CBO or the Federal Reserve anticipated for this cycle. The 12-month average remains above the 2017 average of 179,000 jobs gained per month. In total, the economy has added over 6.2 million jobs since the President was elected.

ME: What can I add to that? The recession myth is the new Russia Collusion Lie. Things are great and Trump will be reelected.

While Canada lost 10's of thousands of jobs, especially in the private sector, for the second month in a row.

Reject socialism, embrace capitalism and liberty. We are getting crushed over here, I visually see it on the streets like I've never seen it before.

That’s good news, but there will be a recession later this year in all likelihood. It’s The key is how quickly the rebound occurs.

I don't think there will be one.

Because you know something about economics? Because you would LIKE for there to not be a recession? Or maybe because you are a dupe that takes seriously the constant lying out of our asshole president?

160k is well bellow 200+ average monthly job growth we've had for about 7 years now.

And NOMINAL wages is a silly number, you have to look at REAL wage growth which accounts for inflation.

Real average hourly earnings for all employees decreased 0.1 percent from June to July, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This result stems from a 0.3-percent increase in average hourly earnings combined with a 0.3-percent increase in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U).

Real average hourly earnings increased 1.3 percent, seasonally adjusted, from July 2018 to July 2019.

Because you know something about economics?.......

Because I listen to people who do, you dickless cock sallower.

The whole recession song and dance is just the latest Russia Fantasy, another fake story to get people to not vote for him.

Terri got her economics degree from Trump University.

overdue...

Well, obviously nobody can say with 100% absolute certitude. If one does come it will certainly not be because of Trump. Trump has done the two simple things that make the economy healthy: Lower the tax burden on business, and get rid of the regulatory burden that strangles business. As a result, Trump has given us the lowest unemployment numbers in 50 years.

Just building upon what Obama left. :)

You people really love that lie. Your little propaganda post has already been disproven. Repeating it does not make it true.

Sorry Obama, But It's Trump's Economic Boom, Not Yours
It's Trump's Booming Economy, Not Obama's | Investor's Business Daily

........The rate of GDP growth was decelerating in Obama's last year. It went from 2.3% in Q2, to 1.9% in Q3 to 1.8% in Q4 of 2016. Under Trump, GDP growth has averaged 2.9%. It was 4.2% last quarter and might be higher in the current one. The stock market also was stuck in neutral the year before the November 2016 elections. The Dow is up by some 45% since then. Real median family income didn't budge from August 2015 to November 2016, according to Sentier Research. It's up more than 4% since Trump came into office........

....... a survey of 68 business, financial and academic economists by The Wall Street Journal at the start of this year found that most believed Trump's policies would boost the economy, while the same group had said Obama's policies were a drag on long-term growth. Ninety percent said Trump's tax cuts would accelerate growth. It is what the left would, in another context, call a "scientific consensus." Yet to listen to liberal activists and the ideological press and you'd think that Trump was crazy for claiming credit for today's growth. "The economic expansion we're enjoying today was set in motion under Obama," insists Slate's Jordan Weissmann. Doesn't this make people like Obama and Weissmann "economy deniers?"
