Trump's worst day ever

What you might have missed in the Cohen plea

In case you doubt the strength of the case: Did you notice all the other people implicated in Cohen’s plea? There is “Corporation-1,” presumably American Media Inc. (AMI), which owns the National Enquirer (“Magazine-1”). Members of Corporation-1 (including editor in chief, or “Editor-1”) would presumably have information and be able to corroborate Cohen’s account regarding the Karen McDougal payoff. The information document filed against Cohen also notes the existence of a text between Editor-1 and Cohen, corroboration of the arrangement to pay off a second woman, presumably Stormy Daniels. An encrypted phone call is also mentioned, as is an attorney (one more witness!) who represented both women. And let’s not forget the “executives of the Company” [Trump’s] who “grossed up” the reimbursement to Cohen; that’s two or more additional witnesses. We learn that “Executive-1” received the request or reimbursement and shared it with more executives. More witnesses. In Count 7, Cohen is accused of enabling Corporation-1 to make an illegal corporate campaign donation. That means the company and/or its executives might have liability as well. Count 8 mentions campaign executives (who might they be? how many?) who worked with Cohen to effectuate the scheme.

In sum, it’s not Cohen’s word against Trump’s, but rather a raft of witnesses whom prosecutors have or will be able to talk to (some to avoid liability of their own) and documents as well. There is, in short, a ton of evidence out there concerning the campaign finance scheme to make sure two women didn’t mess up Trump’s chances of getting elected. If Trump learned anything from the Paul Manafort trial, it should be that discrediting a single witness doesn’t eradicate piles of complementary evidence. Trump might try discrediting Cohen, but it’s Cohen who has the corroborating documents and witnesses to back him up.
Trump supporters do not want the truth, they live on alternative facts and the principle that the truth is not the truth.
It is scary how Trump's America is close to George Orwell's 1984. I doubt many Trump supporters have read it.

I have read Orwell's 1984, and it doesn't help your case at all. Your "facts" are mostly tea leaves, and you and your ilk have been misreading them. At best, Trump may be guilty of a campaign finance violation, and pay a fine. However, even that is a long shot.

As of yesterday, he is accused of a campaign finance violation that is resulting in jail time for his coconspirator.

Mueller is far from complete in his investigation. Manafort, Flynn, Cohen and others are still providing evidence that can be used against the President

Potential additional charges include obstruction, Money Laundering, tax evasion and even collusion

Today was Trump's worst day ever.
But there are worse days to come.

Nah. Its a bad day for Cohen and Manafort not Trump.

Of course you can believe as you like.
I do believe as I like.
Time will prove how bad of a day this was for Trump.

Oh its a bad day for Cohen and Manafort but not Trump.
So you do not feel that Cohn pleading guilty to felony illegal campaign donations he made under instructions of Donald Trump is not bad news for Trump?
Do you realize that Trump is now an unindicted co conspirator to the charges. There is a very good chance if Trump was not protected by being President that there is a very good chance he would have been indicted yesterday.

If Trump was not the President, the indictment yesterday would never have happened. Witch hunts often destroy those around the target in an attempt to find dirt on the target.
Trump laughs at how stupid some of his supporters are. he said he could "stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody" and not "lose any voters."
You are one of those stupid supporters

Dems have had about 456 of their worst days since the election.

With hundreds more to come.
Forget the stinking Democrats, the majority of Americans have had 456 bad days but good days are coming.
60% of Americans do not like what Trump is doing and that is increasing.

Most Americans are very happy right now.

The economy is rolling along.

UE is the lowest its been in decades.

People have more money in their pay checks.

For the first time in a long time people like the direction the country is taking.

I doubt your 60% has legs. In fact Trump, if he decides to run, will be re-elected in 2020.

Your gloom and doom only works if you believe it. Most American's don't.

The only ones having a bad set of days are obsessive types such as yourself based upon the endless delusional threads.

Ouch Petro, you really know how to throw a zinger to hurt a guy.
You do not find a combination of wit and intelligence like you have, everyday.

Bad day in the short term. But, I think has nationalized the mid terms and will make Impeach 45 the main election issue. The mid terms will be a national referendum on impeachment. Turnout is going to be through the roof, maybe presidential cycle level or higher. That is unpredictable. We will see what happens. But the Dems outlook was good with lower conservative enthusiasm. Now its anyones guess.

I agree. I think the mid-terms will be all about continuing the Trump Presidency or not.
If the anti-Trump individuals cannot turn enough people out to take back Congress, we will only have ourselves to blame.
I am an independent that usually votes for some Republicans and more Democrats. I will not vote for another Republican until Trump is gone.

Where's the bottom?

For all but 35% of Americans, we have been at the bottom since "alternative facts". But what I don't understand is the indifference to the lies, the corruption, the scandal and the outrageous comportment of this administration those identifying themselves as Republicans!

Republicans used to have political principles. Free trade, small government, deficit hawks, moral and family values. What happened to all those rock ribbed Republicans? Was all that posturing about free trade and family values a charade? Why are so many willing to hold their noses and accept what they would have screamed their faces Red about just a year and a half ago?
Yup, it was all a charade.

I want accountability from my President
Bullshit, you didn't require any accountability from Obama, you lying hypocrite.

What's Obama supposed to be more accountable for; the great economy he left, his delivered Nat'l HC., unemployment that had dropped to 4%, the deficit reduced the fasted in the history of the country, behaving as a respected and responsible world leader lauded/cheered by other countries, & did his best to unite the USA? If you go by the most extreme definition of lying, stats show over his FOUR YEARS, Obama would be responsible for 18 so called falsehoods; one of them having to do with HC when it was more a mistake, not a LIE! He said "you can keep your doctor!" Fools really think he intentionally lied; so IMO they're FOS! Now Trump won't be able to compare his record after 2-3 days when the LIES have come fast and furious; increasing even more as his troubles mount! History will smile more on Obama than Trump; no doubt about it! :102: :321: :aargh: :2cents:

What's Obama supposed to be more accountable for; the great economy he left
With GDP growth never reaching 3%? Yeah, let's give him credit for that.

his delivered Nat'l HC.
National HC that no one could afford?

unemployment that had dropped to 4%
Try 4.7. And that was mostly government jobs, not private sector. IOW, not REAL jobs.
Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

the deficit reduced the fasted in the history of the country
You forgot to mention that he tripled it before he reduced it. An easy feat.

did his best to unite the USA?
What planet are you living on? He was the most divisive president in American history.

Oh, so now it was a "mistake"? Nice try, sycophant. Obama is a f***ing liar. YOU'RE the one who's FOS.

Now Trump won't be able to compare his record after 2-3 days when the LIES have come fast and furious; increasing even more as his troubles mount!
And speaking of "fast and furious"...Another Obama fuckup. Or was it?

History will smile more on Obama than Trump; no doubt about it!
History will show that Obama was a communist subversive and Trump was a true patriot.

I said it when he was handed the presidency by the Russians....Trump will regret the day he decided to run for office...I wish hom the worst of the worst and that will drive his minions insane, those who voted for him are bunch of cowards and low lives.

how was he handed it by the Russians? Btw I think it was Clinton or Biden or Pelosi or Obama who laughed at the possibility of any country influencing the election.
