The GOP extended their majority in The Senate, and in a Midterm that saw 41 GOP Congressmen retire, they outperformed historical expectations for the typical losses seen in the house in an incumbent president's first midterm. Add to that his approval numbers among minorities continue to increase, and his general overall approval numbers with The American people as well, and the LONG, LONG list of his accomplishments which have set a record for ALL PRESIDENTS in their first two years.
