Trump set to order construction of Mexican border wall

And working class Americans will pay for it. Then, they pay more for their produce and dairy and meat prices will go up.

And drug traffic won't even slow down.

Typical Repub plan - big bigger biggest government, biggest debt and biggest deficit.

we might as well lobby for a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage.

Meh-heeko will pay for it too!

Yup, one way or another.
I would be more receptive to the idea of building a wall if the American tax payer didn't have to foot the bill initially. I don't trust the liar in chief. I'd like to see him take a few years to extract funds from Mexico without tapping into federal funds at all.
hHdden costs such as regular maintenance and repair will add billions more over time

If the tight wad Republican House gives Trump the funds to build that wall, estimated to cost about 30 billion +, they will have reneged on their promise to curb federal spending.

I don't care how much it costs. Just get it done. They spent us into a $20 Trillion mess, and i saw nothing out of it. Apparently some have benefited from it, but i haven't. So now it's my turn to get something out of all the spending. I want the border secured and Obama's dismantled Immigration System rebuilt. I don't care what it costs. It'll be money very well-spent for a change.
Only true national socialists, say that. Even the left is trying to learn how to merely use capitalism, for all of its worth.

a market friendly visa would be more effective since it relies on capitalism, not socialism.

Secure the border and rebuild Obama's dismantled Immigration System. That's why i voted for Donald Trump. I expect action. And i really don't care how much it costs. They're gonna spend the money anyway. It's about time i get something out of it. Spend whatever it takes to get it done. Period, end of story.

'Trump set to order construction of Mexican border wall'

QUESTION:
Should the US use chain gangs - prison labor - to build the wall, thereby reducing the cost while getting some of our money's worth out of taking care of / funding criminals in jail, OR should we focus on creating jobs and hire Americans to do the manual labor?
do it see how long it takes them to split to Mexico

Nice place to live once you get away from the drug cartels sending drugs to the US.

should we ask our current president, if can we eliminate regulations that increase the cost of goods and services, in that sector?

You must have been born yesterday. Apparently you were NOT around when Justice Roberts saved Obamacare by declaring the mandate to be a tax. we already saw that movie, time to change the reel!
By the way....looks like Obama used you as the little fool that you are: :lmao:

Obama in 2009: The Individual Mandate Is Not a Tax

What is it you don't understand about the mandate not being a tax increase. Get insurance and you don't have to pay the tax!

Definitely use prison labor. They are a major cost to us - might as well get something in return for that cost. They will be paying for themselves if we really put them to work. That is a great suggestion easyt65

This is not up for debate anymore. Your side lost the election and elections have consequences. The wall is one of those. Working class Americans will benefit and so will Mexico when it's all said and done. You can whine and moan all you like, the wall is getting built... you may as well try and get used to that... the debate is over.
let the legal arguments, begin.

Well now you just contradicted yourself! First you said it was "constitutional" because it was a "tax". And now you're saying it is not a tax. Oops! Typical progressive - unable to get his own story straight.

I cant help if you are so stupid you can't tell the difference between the terms "tax" and "tax increase."

Don't you want to see the blueprints of what you are buying before it is built? I do. We have some idea of the length but I want to know the other two dimensions: Height and width. I don't want to overpay for a garden fence and bailing wire covered with stucco. I want to know what I am getting and we all ought to demand our Congress make that information public before releasing a cent.
Funny - why weren't you demanding to see "the blueprints" of Obamacare before it was built? :dunno:

Why weren't you concerned about "overpaying" for Obamacare before it was built? :dunno:

For the record - I think the wall is a bad idea. I think the money would be much better spent on technology. But watching you hypocrites embarrass yourselves by demanding of Trump what you never demanded of Obama just makes rational people cringe. You all look like buffoons.
i was asking for the same thing, under a previous and more, social, administration.

Mr. Trump claims to be a capitalist.

Mexico is paying for the wall...so....
CNN -- Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto said Wednesday his country "will not pay for any wall," despite the claims US President Donald Trump has made.
Few people on USMB are as stupid as TyroneSlothrop. Listen, my gentle little snowflake - all we have to do is withhold our foreign aid to Mexico and put it towards the wall. Boom! Mexico just paid for the wall (that money was going to them anyway so we're no worse off). Then we tell them they never seen foreign aid again unless they reimburse us. If they don't, the wall not only built itself - it saved us hundreds of billions over the next century. If they do - they paid for the wall just like Trump said they would. Either way, we win. How dumb are you not to see how simple this is?

How dumb are you to think that using US tax dollars to pay for the wall, whether it's "foreign aid", or otherwise, is not the same difference as Mexico paying for the wall.

You are aware that foreign aid to Mexico is only $51.5 million per year. At that rate, it would take 20 years to pay for the wall. And amount wouldn't even cover the staffing and upkeep.

Bwahahahahaha! Is that what you're going with now? Obama said it was (and I quote) "not a tax". He didn't say "increase" he said "not a tax". Then - when his own legal staff went before the Supreme Court, they too argued to the justices that it was "not a tax".

You're a typical Dumbocrat voter. You don't know the facts. You don't understand the issues. And you have no clue about how your own government is designed to function.

True. And now it's time for me to get mine. They're gonna spend the money anyway. It's time for me to get something out of all the spending. I haven't seen anything from their $20 Trillion Debt. It's my turn. Spend whatever it takes to achieve border security and fix Obama's Immigration mess.

healthcare promotes the general welfare.
The "General Welfare" clause is explicitly limited to the federal governments 18 enumerated powers. Since healthcare is not one of those 18 enumerated powers, the "General Welfare" clause does not apply.

You really should read the U.S. Constitution before you attempt to use it to make your point. Doing so is like an attorney asking a question that they don't already know the answer to you. You end up proving the other sides case for them.

I looked at the vide three times and heard Obama say the mandate is NOT a tax increase twice in the same clip. He did not say the mandate is not a tax.

You are the archetypical konservatie dumbass who posts a link, cites something from it that is completely different from the original text and then proceeds to defend his error with all the vigor of an aggresive FOOL! You are hilarious!

Poor girl really struggles....doesn't she? She's not even capable of accounting for the amount of money the U.S. will save in not educating illegal aliens, not providing food and housing to illegal aliens, not providing healthcare to illegal aliens, not requiring the law enforcement on a daily basis to deal with illegal aliens, etc.

"Illegal immigration costs federal and local taxpayers $113 billion a year" (link)

So basically - the wall pays for itself in 2 months and then "makes" the U.S. over $113 billion per year for eternity. Seems like one hell of a deal to me.

And again - I'd like to be very clear for the 10,000th time on USMB - I am not for the wall. I oppose it because I do not think it will be effective. But certainly resolving our illegal immigration problem will save the U.S. more than a trillion dollars over any given decade.
