Trump really should have taken a Civic's class. Executive orders go up in flames

10USC311 is also, federal law; need sanctuary, gun lovers?
No Sanctuary is required within the United States thanks to the Constitution. International law regarding gun ownership does not apply....exactly what was your comment meant to imply?

Immigration is the ultimate responsibility of the Federal Government--so via Trump's executive order on Sanctuary cities--(a law that doesn't exist---as Sanctuary City is not defined by any law)--it is the equivalent of you getting fined for the mess your neighbor has refused to clean up in his yard.

There is 'Enforcing Federal Law' then there is 'facilitating violation of Existing law - aiding and abetting criminals'. Liberals - Sanctuary Cities - are actively, defiantly violating Federal law, not refusing to enforce federal law.
Cities and counties are Organs of States, not the federal government.

There is NO LAW defining Sanctuary cities. It's the equivalent of someone writing you a ticket when no such law exists for that violation.
No law is required. Any city giving sanctuary to illegals - law breakers, violent non-Americans that prey on US citizens - in direct violation of US Federal Law is a 'Sanctuary City'. It's common sense....which snowflakes / liberals don't have.

Exactly, federal law supercedes local state law.
Means nothing; the States have their own police power.
So you are saying Federal Law means nothing? Interesting - snowflakes don't usually recognize state's rights / laws...

What ever can you mean; you mean federal law does not apply, if we can find something like our Commerce Clause or our Second Amendment?

Local government is more representative than federal government.
While I agree local government is more reflective / representative of the people's wishes at the local level, Local government does not have the legal authority to reject / defy / supersede federal law. The Obama administration stepped in to 'kill' local / state laws created through elections by voters when the Obama administration did not like what the people at the local / state level passed.

Not sure what you mean. We also have a Commerce Clause. And, States have no authority over immigration since 1808. It seems more like federal Infringement to State's, Individual Liberty. States should be charging ten dollars per person for inspection, to ensure legal participation in State markets.

It is not the states duty to apply immigration law. That falls on the federal govt.

Cities and States are not organs of the Federal Government--LOL We pay Federal income taxes to support the military--interstate highways--schools--education etc. etc. Immigration is the sol responsiblity of the Federal Government, and we've got a major mess going on in Denver Colorado right now--over a decent man who is being ripped from his wife and children over an archaic immigration policy that hasn't been reformed in decades--due to Politicians that always say NO to immigration reform in this country.

"U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet has introduced legislation to aid Arturo Hernandez Garcia, who spent nine months living in the basement of a Denver church to avoid deportation and was arrested on Wednesday by immigration officers for removal from the U.S.

“Arturo has been a valued member of our community for nearly two decades,” Bennet said in a written statement. “As a business owner, he has contributed to our economy and has always worked hard to support his family. He should not be a priority for deportation. This is yet another example of this Administration’s misguided immigration policies that do not align with our national priorities and values.”

Hernandez Garcia was at work on Wednesday morning when ICE officers detained him unexpectedly. In October 2014, he took refuge in the basement of a Denver church for nine months, returning to his family in July 2015, after ICE sent him letter saying he was no longer an enforcement priority.

By Thursday morning, Hernandez Garcia was being held at a contract federal detention center in Aurora pending his removal from the country, according to ICE and his supporters.
