Yep...you read that right. President Trump holds a 30 point lead over the Governor of Florida...in Florida.

"Trump currently has more than a 30 point lead over DeSantis in his own state. That lead hasn't changed significantly since the governor jumped into the race for president.

Republican state Rep. Randy Fine has been one of DeSantis' most vocal supporters in the Florida Legislature. But recently he announced he's backing Trump in the GOP primary.

Fine is the only Jewish Republican in the legislature and he says he's been unimpressed with DeSantis' response to the Hamas attack against Israel last month, which was a breaking point for him. He says he just can't support DeSantis' presidential bid anymore."

President Trump ALSO holds a 30 point lead over Nikki Haley in South Carolina...the state where SHE served as governor.

"Former President Donald Trump currently holds majority support in the early primary state of South Carolina, where his strongest challenger is Nikki Haley, the state’s former governor, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

Fifty-three percent of likely Republican primary voters in South Carolina call Trump their first choice for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, with 22% picking Haley and 11% backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
"

Commentary: It's time to coalesce behind the CLEAR frontrunner, President Donald Trump.

If the people who have lived under the leadership of the candidates...one as President, and the other two as governors...have absolutely shown a clear-cut preference in which leader they support in the 2024 Presidential election...who would know better than them?

  • Ron DeSantis is a horrible politician, who really doesn't seem to enjoy being around people.

Gonna give you some credit here Synth...so brace yourself and don't pass out.

From a pragmatic standpoint...you were 100% correct that Nikki Fried was the better choice to run against DeSantis. She still would have lost IMO...but it wouldn't have been the blowout that the Democrats running a former RECENT Republican Governor as their choice for nominee.

You saw it, and I'm glad they didn't listen to you.

But, that choice likely led directly to DeSantis...who was a shoe-in for 2028...to fall for the "landslide" narrative that convinced him to run against Donald Trump...virtually destroying his political career...

...so you get an unexpected consolation prize.

“Trump leads DeSantis by 30 points...in Florida!”

Most Florida Republicans are just as treasonous, reprehensible, and wrong as Republicans everywhere else.

Jeb Bush was an OK Governor of Florida but was never supported as a Presidential candidate.

DeSantis is the best Governor we ever had and could make a fine President one of these days but many of us think he is not quite ready to President, yet.

I think DeSantis has burned his National level political bridges. Had he waited until 2028, he probably would have been President.

Hopefully the boy will get his act together by 2028. He has a lot of potential. Even though he has a weak campaign and I love Trump I plan to vote for him in the Florida primaries. Trump will win but I want him to stay in the game for 2028.
