Truckers To Shut Down America

Right......dont do crack jack

So you are in favor of a simple majority vote for the President and getting rid of the Senate?

Congress would just be populated with Representatives proportional to each state?

Yes or no?

Me? I'd like to see majority rule in this country.

So would I.
But the minority rule this country.
The 40% of conservatives and 35% of moderates should rule this country.
Not the 21% of Liberals who do.

If you got out of the right wing bubble you'd discover your numbers are way off.

Don't do history either, or you might find out that this country was founded and designed by Liberals.

The ones who call themselves liberal today are not the liberals who founded this country.
The liberals of today are big overbearing government thugs who have high jacked the word.
If they used the word socialists they would have never gotten elected.
So they used the word Progressive and when the people realized what they were, they changed to the name liberal. Now that the people have realized again what they are, they have changed back to the word Progressive.

Wrong, Peach. Just because you take somebody else's word off to the corner and paint it brown, that doesn't make it a turd.

We're taking it back now since some of y'all can't handle it.

The Libs are in power, it's Cons and Independents that are taking the power back.
If you actually read about our History you would know that this is true about the Liberals of today.

Census of the population does tell who their ideology is.
The last Census favored the Republicans. When the Republicans did their redistricting the Dems had a hissy fit and yelled gerrymandering and took it to court. They acted like spoiled children.
Polls show that there are more Cons and Mods than Libs.

"Conservatives" Are Single-Largest Ideological Group

If wasn't for the Dems 60 years of gerrymandering the Libs would not be in power today.

Please don't insult my knowledge of history with your lack thereof.

Else I'm gonna have to start calling you "Bubbles", per Sallow' s last post.

It isn't liberals trying to suppress the vote or saying that low voter turnout is good for Conservative candidates.

That would be conservatives.

I'd like to see voting moved to the internet and made mandatory..like jury duty.

You guys? You like it when little old ladies have to wait 6 hours to vote.

"...The Majority of Americans, ARE LIBERAL..."
Not really, although the majority of Americans of your own personal aquaintance may very well be Liberals.

Most folks I know... family, friends, neighbors, colleagues... are dyed-in-the-wool middle-of-the-roaders... Centrists... with some Liberal-leaning likes and ideas, with some Conservative-leaning likes and ideas, and a lot of cherry-picking from both sides in order to roll-their-own political likes-and-dislikes, and voting patterns.

That, too, is merely personal opinion, but every bit as valid as your own; partisan poll A or B or C or D notwithstanding.

And, let's face it, after the Hopey-Changey hyperbole that Orgasmic ObamaBots spoon-fed to the American public in the run-up to the 2008 election, the honeymoon is over; folks see too much of a swing to the Left, too weak of a presenting facade to the outside world, and a proto-nationalized-healthcare abortion looming on the horizon that looks worse and worse and which continues to hemorrhage support as its implementation draws closer.

We saw Fearless Leader lose the House in the 2010 mid-terms and barely hold onto the Senate in both 2010 and 2012, and my money is on him losing the Senate as well in 2014.

The gleam is off the Hopey-Changey thing now and folks are getting to the point where they just want to ride-out this 2nd term, containing Obama and stuffing him in legislative rubber room where he can do no harm to the nation between now and the next Inaugural Day.

He's getting closer and closer to being a Lame Duck in practice as well as nominally.

Who needs foreign enemies when we have people like these truckers and their supporters? I mean, WTF.

The military will just step in and keep the flow of goods to Washington going.

And it sounds like this will open up some great opportunities for people who want to be truckers. Maybe find some responsible people who can take that job on with an understanding of how important it is to the ENTIRE NATION'S welfare not to obstruct the flow of goods and supplies anywhere in this country.

Fucking traitors. How dare they pretend to speak for everyone.

Howdy Kondor. Been a while. You might want to keep circling, because (a) hopey-changey wasn't invented in 2008; it's a feature (under whatever name) of every political campaign, for every party. The same way superficial slogans are used to sell products, becuase that's all it is.

And (b), the party in the White House almost always loses ground in mid-term elections. There have been like three exceptions since at least the Civil War.

I know Kondors spend a lot of time gliding on updrafts, so that's just a view from the ground.

I, for example, had zero confidence in McSame, so I voted Obumble in 2008.

I, for example, had zero confidence in Mittens, so I voted Obumble in 2012.

But I held my nose both times while I was in the voting booth.

And I had Buyer's Remorse even before the booth curtain closed behind me as I exited.

What part of "Yeah, we voted him in, but it's patently obvious that we made a mistake, and we repent of it, and now intend to hamstring the guy insofar as may be practicable in order to prevent him from doing more damage" don't YOU get?

I understand the mindset... I'm not there yet myself, but I'm sure-as-hell in the neighborhood by now.

What I "get" is the the Republicans have yet to present us with a better alternative. Even you admitted to that.

WHY ARE TRUCKERS THREATENING TO ‘SHUT DOWN WASHINGTON, D.C.’ FOR THREE DAYS STRAIGHT?

A group of truckers is reportedly planning to shut Washington, D.C. down for three days straight starting on Oct. 11 to protest the “corruption against the Constitution.”

The “Truckers To Shut Down America” Facebook page has more than 16,000 likes, though it is unclear how many truckers actually intend on taking part in the disruptive protest.

“The American people are sick and tired of the corruption that is destroying America! We therefore declare a GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers!” the group’s description reads.

In a YouTube video uploaded by user “Kevin Allan” and linked on the “Truckers To Shut Down America” Facebook page, the event is labeled as a general “strike” by the American people against the federal government and its “bulls**t.”

If the majority of us do what they ask of us, it will really get their attention.
I am going to join them and do no shopping, banking or money transactions on those three days.

Bu...bu....bu...I'm getting my old piano tuned on the 11th.

To lighten the mood...

A brief lowbrow musical interlude...

Created by those scallywags at JibJab, back in 2009, while the ObamaBots were still all Orgasmic over the New Messiah...

Back when the gleam was still on the cube...

A little trip down memory lane; indulging in bit of fun this afternoon...

Enjoy...

WE THE PEOPLE voted these people into office. What part of that don't you get?
I, for example, had zero confidence in McSame, so I voted Obumble in 2008.

I, for example, had zero confidence in Mittens, so I voted Obumble in 2012.

But I held my nose both times while I was in the voting booth.

And I had Buyer's Remorse even before the booth curtain closed behind me as I exited.

What part of "Yeah, we voted him in, but it's patently obvious that we made a mistake, and we repent of it, and now intend to hamstring the guy insofar as may be practicable in order to prevent him from doing more damage" don't YOU get?

What I "get" is the the Republicans have yet to present us with a better alternative. Even you admitted to that.

... to ANYTHING!

All they do is obstruct, waste money on the stupid phony votes against ObamaCare and go on another vacation.

The R senator from my state posts the things he's really proud of on Facebook.

Last time he posted an "accomplishment" is was for naming a fucking bridge.

He won't spend money to repair bridges but he'll spend more than $50K on the fake "repeal ObamaCare" votes.

They truly are the Party of Doing ABSO-FUCKING-LOOTLY NOTHING and only stupid fools would vote for these treasonous frauds who only want to send jobs to China.
