Toyota Details Six New electric cars Models Launching for 2020–2025

There is no real need, nor market calling for EV's as they are inferior to ICE vehicles in almost every way. I doubt we will see them as more than a novelty in our lifetimes or our children's.
Most Americans aren't going to have much of a choice if they want to stay with internal combustion engines. The reason why, the rest of the world is going to EVs. China as well as most of Europe has committed to be off of ICE by 2040 or 2050. In 2020 China expects to buy 2 million EVs with a 20% growth rate. By 2030 just China and Europe sales of EVs will exceeded ICE sales in the US.

Car manufactures love EVs. The reason why is they are very simple and very profitable. The engine; that is the electric motor general has only two moving parts, no cooling system, no pollution control system, no complex transmission, and no computer accept in the AV/Wifi. Compared to EVs, ICE autos will be a Rub Goldberg contraction. Most of the fuel goes to produce heat which requires a cooling system and exhaust which requires a pollution control system. Only 20% to 30% of the energy supplied by the fuel goes toward moving the vehicle.

By 2030, EV's in the US are going to be out selling ICE vehicles because they're going to be cheaper to buy and operate plus they're going to have the newest technology. Thanks to Mr Trump's energy policy, the US is not going have the infrastructure it needs to support them.
